I think Rs edged this game, although Stoke were without some key players. The defence does look stronger, Dickie, as ever, outstanding. Best effort so far from young Hamalainen - made a couple of important headers and committed one crucial foul, giving him the benefit of the doubt I'll say it was deliberate.

I'm sure at half time everyone thought we'd concede in the second half, but we withstood some sustained pressure. Although a costly defensive error never feels far away my sense is we are shipping fewer goals even if we are still not winning, and some of the defeats can be called unlucky. But resorting to luck as an explanation is rarely a good look.

Chair was our best hope of a goal - possibly our only hope - always looking to receive and create. Dykes had a better second half after a disappointing opening 45, including what looked like one glaring miss. Adomah had some good moments before fading. Just beginning to wonder if Willock flatters to deceive - little end product.

And don't think I spotted any major errors or over-fussy refereeing from Mr Stroud!

So that's probably the last game I'll see this season or at least for several months. I think the club under Tier 2 managed the games well. Would have liked to see a bit more consistent mask-wearing in the stands but most complied. Back to the Nick & Andy show!
