Match Thread vs Watford on 16:59 - Dec 29 by hoopstilidie | Yup. Perspective. |
The perspective is 4 wins from the last 13 - that sucks Harry needs to sort out, as our American friends would say, the bleedin' OFFENSE!!

Match Thread vs Watford on 17:03 - Dec 29 with 858 views | HollowayRanger | same old story yet again bossed the game had the ball and created nothing for 90 mins solid defence gains us a point but we are going nowhere fast! AND I BLAME HARRY austin class but 40 plus games as lone striker is a joke! had a young player came on scored a winner and then wasnt given another chance! had a loan gave him 10 mins looked pretty good powerful shot and energy then never used again instead relies on two cripples and a bag full of midfielders playoffs at best

Match Thread vs Watford on 17:15 - Dec 29 with 779 views | RblockPrior | officially half way through the season, would I of taken this position at the start of the season for half way through yes! one point away from automatic, a squad that is full of quality (although not seen alot of it.. YET) I do worry about strikers but I have faith in Harry to sort that out

well he could've sent BZ for his op last March instead of letting him lumber around half-fit even after we were relegated, while he left Mackie on the bench. Or maybe he could just not have sold Mackie and actually made him part of the first team.

Because the club were demanding more money so he wrote off his loyalty bonus to go and play football. What a bastard. There is of course a delicious irony in your post with your idol Taarabt not only requesting a transfer but also actually refusing to play in the Championship. [Post edited 29 Dec 2013 17:47]

He could've undoubtedly warmed the bench here like he did once Arry got 'his' players in January. He wanted to play football every week though so he wrote off hundreds of thousands of pounds to do so. What a traitor.

Traitor and bastard are your words not mine. I said he didn't want to play for us no more so good riddance. Adel and remy didn't want to play in the championship so they went on loan. They didn't put in transfer requests and are still our players.

Match Thread vs Watford on 18:10 - Dec 29 with 566 views | derbyhoop | Talk about massive over reaction. The job Redknapp did in the Summer was enormous. The problems were just too deep. The main problem that hasn't really been solved is the striker - which is obvious to all of us, including TF. I cannot believe that Harry doesn't also recognise it. But give the man a break. In the Summer, he knew Remy was going, AJ was fit (at the time) and Zamora was fit enough. Hitchcock hadn't done enough to warrant a place as a first team striker. When he couldn't get Hooper, he got Austin and he's had to adjust formations to cope with the (predictable) absence of BZ and AJ. Presumably, Chevanton never did enough to convince an experienced management team that he was a Championship striker. With hindsight, the decisions to rely on BZ and/or AJ, to let Chevanton go, before bringing Hitchcock back from loan, look like errors. But there's been plenty of others who haven't helped the manager. Playing 4-5-1, over which he has had little choice, relies on contributions from midfield. Where are they? Hoilett's been the most disappointing, but you can also add Henry, Carroll, SWP, Jenas and Krancjar (who can't hit a barn door, despite all his efforts) to that. The issue, though, is the same one we've had for 18 months, and it isn't likely to be solved without another big spend. Because good Championship strikers are not ten a penny. TF has suggested (Twitter) that there might only be one deal in January. It's up to Harry to ensure that it is the right one.

absolute and total nonsense. Do you really, really believe that Jamie Mackie - JAMIE MACKIE! - would not fight for a place? He was told there was NO place. it's as clear as bloody day, and obvious from the way good old honest harry treated him for the 2nd half of last season.

Perfectly put Derby but it'll fall on deaf ears, its all that greedy devious self serving tyrants fault. Nothing to do with what came prior to Redknap. As you say the problems run deep and as a club we're just not set up in a way that organically produces success. Not a bad result today considering our striker problem, surely that will be sorted during this window and we can move on.

Lol. Remy went on loan for obvious reasons. Taarabt went on loan because he refused to play for the club, yet nobody would come close to matching his wages, so we have to subsidize him to (not) play for the clubs rivals. Mackie gave up hundreds of thousands of pounds to play football every week and he's the one we should be wishing good riddance to? It really does take all sorts.

Match Thread vs Watford on 17:01 - Dec 29 by RblockPrior | is worrying I have to admit, point is a point I suppose but we really do have to sort ourselves out another striker. Like mentioned how has Harry allowed this to happen, all he did was constantly bring in midfielders and was lured by big names. Still i think he will set it right in the end |
We're still in a good position but this mini-implosion is needless. Redknapp has to look in the mirror and shoulder the blame. Our players are good enough, they have the attitude and the ability but lack a truly passionate manager to inspire and lead them. Our playing style, our tactics, our application has to be sharper. Where this kick in the arse will come from I don't know. I thought 'Arry would have learnt that you can't play the same team throughout the entire season. Spurs got found out after New Year in his last season there and imploded dramatically. Please, Harry... something has to change

Don't be daft old fella. Clear as day innit, that Jamie Mackie, what a total wrongun. The way he refused to force his way back in after his injury, or after we signed SWP, or after we signed every aging c@nt under the sun. Clear as day he's thrown his toys out of the pram and given up a fortune to play football every week. Good riddance. If only he refused to play for the club again eh?
