Make me right, how much is a man expected to take?
I've done my best for nigh on eight years now.
Travelling all round the world giving speeches, dishing out forgiveness and Hail Mary's like there was no tomorrow.
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that I was given the Gig in the first place.
But I'm at the stage where I don't need the grief anymore, I'm not a young man, and Christ knows we've had our ups and downs.
And I've gotta be honest.........Swansea was the last straw for me.
When we first started off we were all on a right roll.
Granted, the boy GP may have had his faults but he was a nice boy, did what he was told, wise to the ways of the world, and let's have it right.......
If you're not entitled to 'Wet your Beak' when you're running the show....then when are you?
I thought things would pick up when my prayers were answered, when the new owners turned uo with shed loads of dough.
But alas, it just proved what I've been telling the Pilgrims and Sinners every week.....
'Money doesn't buy you happiness.'
Granted, their business model was one which 'We' approved, because it's always worked for us.....
'Take from the poor and give to the rich.'
But you start spraying dough round like Confetti, and all sorts of mugs turn up looking for a good drink, saying they've always been believers
