I have high hopes that this will push Southampton in the opposite direction and drag them well into the relegation zone. Even in Pottechino is a good manager the players are going to feel Adkins was hard done by with the team out of the bottom three and doing well recently - beat Villa away and drew away with Chels.

I still can't believe this has happened. It must be one of the craziest sackings ever.
They had a real difficult run of fixtures at the start of the season but they held firm and when the easier games came they picked up the points.
Now they've got tough games coming again and the fans will be on their backs this time. Great news for us but very sad all the same:
