We might have just edged it, but, not through any cohesive dominance, or prepared response to the strength of the opposition. We 'might' have edged it, because, Reading were dreadful. A jobbing championship outfit at best and absolutely certain to go down, unless they replace a few physical thugs with footballers in Jan.
We were abject carrot, but, I didn't see us give in, or not play for one another (actually Adel and Cisse seemed to want each other to suceed). However, I think we lack a plan and this is down to Hughes AND his massive coaching team. I don't want him out, because, there is no alternative that wouldn't be more damaging long term.

Over the 90 minutes we were the better side, we had more and better chances, but it was so marginal that I don't think we can honestly say we deserved to win.
Given the injuries I thought MH picked the best available side to win the game. But it was the players who let him down. Hoilett should have been a match winner today but probably had his worst game of the season. |  |

Adel and Esteban tried their best, and played well. As for the rest of the team, they were a steaming pile of horse manure.

We deserved to win. Poor first half - nerves, unexpected Reading performance, not sure why we so poor. In short we were second best. Second half was a different game. We bossed it. Samba pick of the players for me. Adel was trying everything, perhaps too hard, struggled in front of goal yet was still outstanding. We got a point, Hughes didn't cost us today in my opinion. Was at the game & can assure you a draw was fair. Yes we could have scored more but so could Reading. At last he is picking the team I want to see but he is still unable to provide them with a game plan & he is a master at demotivating
