Team For Sunday on 11:53 - Oct 19 by adhoc_qpr | Sod that, they are getting paid a huge amount of money and discipline is not some intangible natural attribute - it can and should be worked on in training by the manager and coaching team. |
I don't see how the money has anything to do with what kind of player they are. You could pay Taarabt a million quid a week and he'd still be defensively poor. I'm not suggesting playing two defensive wingers at home but in this particular case, against the best left side in the division, I would play Park on our right to nullify that threat and then have Taarabt doing the attacking down the left. If Bosingwa is fit and sharp then he can provide penetration on the right, overlapping Park. It doesn't have to be a massively defensive strategy, but good management is just as much about identifying and countering the strengths of your opponents as it is about playing to your own strengths. | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Team For Sunday on 08:36 - Oct 20 with 756 views | ElHoop | Hughes was saying saying that some players aren't up to full fitness yet, which probably means M'bia and Traore. Sounds as if he's not sure about them making 90 minutes Would he start with Traore if he can't last the game? He doesn't have much choice so maybe Ehmer is on standby for half an hour's work. If M'bia isn't fully fit either then its a risk that his back 4 might need two changes which would be far from ideal. It makes things difficult. I'd go like this: Cesar Bosingwa Hill Nelsen Traore Diakite Faurlin Park Granero Taarabt Zamora [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Team For Sunday on 11:44 - Oct 19 by adhoc_qpr | I don't know why lots of people (Hughes included) think that players with attacking attributes like Bosingwa and Hoillet will leave us exposed. They are professionals and all they have to do is be discplined, hold their positions and choose the appropriate moment to break forwards, make a run etc and when to stay back. Sure we might get caught on the break occasionally, but that can happen whenever you lose the ball unless you are sitting in 2 banks of 4. |

I wouldnt. Lets not beat about the bush, he has been sh!t for QPR, absolutely sh!t Another £70 grand a week man there as well, actually I've heard he's on £80 grand a week | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

He has been poor at RB because he isn't a RB but when he has played at CB he has looked good , he is young and could be our future CB for years so we should be playing him IMO As for 80k he is on nowhere near that much | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

What game(s) has he played well for QPR at Centre Back then ? I think he's been sh!te since he came to QPR & dont think he gives a flying f*ck about QPR either, bit out of order to single him out on that front to be fair to him. We have gone from having Warnock's "Generals" ( the likes Kenny,Derry,Hill, Mackie ) players with an acute sense of professional pride, to these absolute mercenary £70 grand a week "superstars" | ![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

think its a case that those players realised they were lucky to be playing at this level and would bust a gut to prove themselves, whereas the 'mercenaries' all see us a step down for them, they've all come from much bigger clubs and perhaps don't feel they have anything to prove. What we need is players with the ability of the mercenaries but with the attitude of the 'generals'. | ![](/images/avatars/2744.gif) |

Team For Sunday on 14:41 - Oct 19 by Mr_Seabass | The team I would like to see if I was manager vs. Hughes most probable side... Mine:- Cesar, Bosigwa, Hill, Nelson, Traore, Granero, Diakite, Faurlin, Hoilett, Taarabt & Zamora Hughes:- Cesar, Bosigwa, Nelson, Ferdinand, Traore, Mbia, Granero, SWP, Park, Taarabt, Zamora I'd back mine all day long!! |
I would go for yours, maybe trading Clinton for Mbia, but a 3/5 man midfield is the way forward. | ![](/images/avatars/3461.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

Can't understand how this poor excuse for a defender managed to secure such a lucrative contract. He has done bugger all in his career and only was at Man City because he joined their youth academy when they were $hit. I've never been one for signing rejects from other clubs. Hughes needs to take a leaf out of Moyes' book. Find quality abroad or pick off the best players from the Champioship. Both Jagielka and Lescott were signed from Championship clubs. Only sign players from other premier league clubs if that particular player stands out from the rest like when Moyes signed Baines from Wigan and Distin from Portsmouth. Got to have some sympathy for Barton in the sense that he received a lot of abuse for not jusifying his salary whilst SWP and Onuoah have gotten away with it even though they have both been useless whilst being paid grossly inflated salaries. | ![](/images/avatars/5351.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |
Team For Sunday on 22:34 - Oct 20 with 536 views | RangersAreBack | Can see Diakite getting a run out. We need some physical presence in midfield agaainst a tough team like Everton. Dumdum Onouha at centre-back? Are you being serious? Just because he's a poor right-back let's not pretend that he's a decent centre-back. There is no evidence to back this up. | ![](/images/avatars/1928.gif) | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |
