I asked she said yes! on 11:01 - Jun 23 with 1824 views | bosh67 | My girlfriend pretends to be a gooner but doesn't know too much about football after all these years to be honest. She still asks what colours the teams are playing in... And that's during Downton Abbey!

And they say Romance is dead!!!
| "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

I asked she said yes! on 11:12 - Jun 25 with 1206 views | Toast_R | I've thought about this a bit so would like to make the following point not in an ranty manor but would like to explain none the less. QPR means alot to all of us I'm sure. Been going for years so it's more a way of life. I enjoy a good drink with my mates as much as the next bloke but I've never seen going to watch Ranger's as a regular excuse to get ratted and let off some steam. Have done it 10 fold in the years gone by but for whatever reason those days are now few and far between for me, costs a fortune to drink out, missing important chunks of games legging it to the traps during matches once the seal is broke etc and I've done all that more times then I care to remember. So for me having the opportunity to share something I enjoy so much which does take up vast amounts of my time and means on regular occasions I've been a little selfish in ducking out of her family get togethers, mutual friends birthdays etc should they clash with matches, boxing day absence's (even new years eve last season) being unable to assist in the other halves Hockey matches where she's had to get to some ars'end of Surrey for a game with all her kit (she's a goalkeeper they carry alot of sh*t), is something I feel very chuffed about right now. I've followed Rangers since I've been old enough to be able to go on my own, used to go with mates but the ever increasing expense and responsibilities that come with getting older mean they can no longer attend. For me sharing this part of my life with a loved one is an honour and one that I hope will ensure a future generation of QPR fans from my blood line. Already started the indoctrination on her nephew who is only a few months old but will be an avid fan and follower with his future cousins (one day) as his dad aint into football at all. She enjoys a drink as much as me, I've no problem being in her company and being myself in whatever situation. Took her to MK Dons replay in Jan her first QPR game which was an awful crap game topped off with lousy trains to and from as some unfortunate soul took the obligatory swan dive on the tracks that evening and cancelled half the southern rail network. She was more enthusiastic about the game then I was, and loved Loftus Road, it's a catching feeling we all know only too well. If all this make me and other alike odd, a wet lettuce or whatever, so be it. I know what I want from life which, as we all know from yesterday is way too short. That is all.
