Ok - before you lot have a mass love fest - thoughts..
Hughes has been in the job for...a day....already it appears that the targets that he is after...seem to compare to those that warnock, was reportedly after.
It was mentioned somewhere that maybe Tf approached Hughes( to sound him out) about 2 weeks or so before warnock was sacked.....maybe the transfer ideas were hinted by Hughes to Tf and then onto warnock...
Just seems strange that 1 day into the job, we are after a defender which appears to be a Warnock target.?
Or - is it just that Hughes can see we have a shat defence....can see that Alex is a slightly better footballer than hall and can see a good deal when it is served on his lap??

Don't really care where the bid has come from, it's going to be pretty obvious to anybody stepping into Loftus Road that Alex is a far superior defender to anyone else on our books.
I'd say it's more a case of there being a limited number of decent players out there at a realistic price. Alex is experienced, lives locally already, out of contract soon and miles better than what we have. It would be silly not to put in a bid,

+1 (no disrespect to any of our players)
Beer and Beef has made us what we are - The Prince Regent
yes its important that samba leaves balckburn as it will screw them even more. But whether thats to Spuds or us doesnt make a huge amount of difference.
Alex is much better value for monry and we need several other players, so the £5M difference in transfer fees means a whole extra player.
And an Alex/Anton partnership is a very good one. Gabbidon or Young as back ups.
Lol...my comment was rather flippant.....I think it is more likely and better business if we get Alex in.Plus...i feel that the Samba one will drag untill the end of January and the price over inflated.be a big boost if we can get him before Sundays game...plus..i don't think he is cup tied ??
