Called up for the Ireland squad.

Good for him.

Hopefully he'll get capped like Armstrong did while here.

Based on the last few seasons it’s deserved.
Hope he gets on the pitch.

I see Armstrong is in there as well. Apparently he's a striker

I'm delighted for him. His challenge is that there is a lot of competition for that right back position on the Irish team, including the captain!

I'd have wagered the farm on you posting something in the gaelic. Instead, you've gone a bit well, not to put it too bluntly: Spursy...sort it out McCarthy!!

I just checked out the squad available and compared to the English group its shocking way worse than the gap between QPR and Leeds SW etc.
That midfield for Ireland is so poor we are going nowhere fast and with 2 players scoring for Celtic and some club in Holland there is less goals than QPR score I fear.
Jimmy Dunne is a fantastic player for us but he wont break in here I suspect and Armstrong is just a bull in a china shop there to unleash chaos not put the ball in the net
The dream of watching ROI play in the World Cup next year over here is just a bridge too far right now I fear that squad is not good enough

I can’t imagine how good it must be to represent your country at any level, let alone international football,so good luck to anyone who gets that privilege of pulling on your country’s shirt and belting out the anthem.
JD certainly deserves his chance.

It's not a bad time to come into the squad with Festy and Chiedozie injured. Be nice to see him get a run

Not being an Irish speaker I looked up an online translation and got: Kiss my honeymoon, John! I suspect that's not quite accurate.
