When you’re operating a slim squad on a limited budget, one of the key abilities you need in your players is availability." Amen to that, brother.

This must be the ultimate "die hards only" game...one of our longest away trips (even for the ex-pats) on a midweek night, 3 days after another awayday, out of form and with nothing to play for.

As one of the oldies who can remember the days when some away games barely scraped 3 figures...and that would definitely have been the case here...it's been genuinely heartwarming to see the consistent growth over the decades, regardless of fluctuations in form & status. Long may the days of 3-400 as a bare minimum / 750+ for most midweeks whatever the current state of play / 4 figures+ pretty much every weekend awayday / random 4k turn outs at Cov, Posh etc continue. I remember Dave Thomas (AKUTRs, not socks down winger) once saying that if you judge a team's away following by the % of its average home gate that travels, that's a good yardstick - and one by which I reckon we rate pretty highly. Hope you all get the result / night you deserve. [Post edited 11 Mar 14:45]

24 Hours in A&E - Preview on 18:03 - Mar 11 with 420 views | Myke | You are right, Clive, when you say our downturn in fortunes has coincided with our attempts to play more 'expansive' football. But the real issue is our inability to score goals, which haunted us in our initial dismal run and has revisited us in recent weeks Derby aside, we haven't scored more than a goal a game in the past 6 and drawn a blank at Portsmouth Coventry and WBA. In our purple patch we were scoring 2 per game regularly. Our defence has not worsened in recent weeks but our potency has reverted back to Aug - Nov.
