The A and B coin phone boxes were indeed a thing in GB. As kids, we would regularly pop into the box and press the silver A button in the hope that we'd get some coins that hadn't been used, and we would sometimes be rewarded for our endeavor. |  | |  |

Just before my time mate,but there were buttons A & B on our phones too. You could hear all of 1 tinny record on dial a disc for 2p after 6pm. |  | |  |
