Time to play our own 23:00 - Mar 1 with 11511 viewsNed_Kennedys

After the last couple of results we are clearly destined for the lowest of mid tables so what is the point of playing Edwards and Min-hyeok as they will never sign for us. Drop them and get Morrison and Smyth back in the starting line up as they are ours. I’m assuming Saito will be signed so he should be starting.

It's somewhat ironic really that people are asking to not play loan players as that is developing players for someones elses gain and instead play our players so they can develop and be sold on for someone else's gain

I do get the difference is the money you can get but it would be quite nice to see us worry about winning on Saturday rather than worrying about next season

Also ironic that it is okay for us to loan out our players to improve them for ourselves (potentially Charlie Kelman for eg), but not to take in loan players to do the same thing.
Loan players are part and parcel of the modern game and as I said previously, all players are playing for the pay-cheque not the badge, so it really doesn't matter how long they are here for.

Play our own !!

The thing is, we have currently three players in our entire squad that have been here longer than a couple of years around the first team.

Chair, Dunne and Field.
Smyth has come back after time away.

So hardly any of our own. It's the way of modern football.

Strangely we could end up in couple of years time, having our two longest servants being Madsen and Richards,.

Every player moves for the buck and even if they don't wish to, their agent will force them into it. As others have said loans are part of the game both ins and outs.

Anyhow sure the point is understood...
