Can't see one up here yet, so will give it a go.

Think could be a decent game today and obviously more confident on this one than at home to Plymouth or Oxford

Three one Rangers

Yang Frey and Field to score

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"
Poll: Where will we finish next season ???

I'm not usually a fan of Mad Jack McMad but I thought he was very good today. There were a few times across the game when he made a point of talking to players like Yang, not digging them out but doing a, sort of, on field coaching thing. Lot of respect for that and it shows another quality he brings to the side.

Agreed. He showed the maturity and leadership that we signed him for today. Decent shift.

Now the season feels over felt a bit detatched from today’s game.

We definitely deserved something, draw would have been a fair result. They looked good and I think they’ll go up but we lived with them and lost to better finishing plus weak defending in the air for both goals. Letting the ball bounce for the second goal was not good enough but what a finish.

Their lanky 21 in midfield was excellent and if only Madsen had turned out like him

Will say it again.... Coventry and Portsmouth loses will have bit us on the arse big time this season.

I think where we fell short was on the wings. Too many times second half Smyth and Saito were isolated in 2 v 1 situations without support. No overlapping runs and, obviously, no third player coming in for support. Utd looked comfortable and we had no way through their low-block. It was a fair result and reflected the gulf in quality. Utd’s second goal really summed it up.

I think we chalk this one off and look to the next game.

Come away from there today feeling a little frustrated .

Don’t think we played particularly well all in all . Better in second half and we had a good go without really throwing the kitchen sink at them, but that was partly down to them using experience and breaking the last 10 mins up . Winning silly fouls and us not really streetwise enough ( we never are and haven’t been forerver ) to understand this.
First half they were sharper, quicker , stronger and just better.
Second half they were smarter and we were naive .
Officials didn’t help of course . Cowardly I thought and by the end it was almost as if they were metaphorically sticking 2 fingers back up to the fans giving them stick .
Much better once Saito was introduced as poor Morgan had a bit of a stinker .
Ball not sticking to Frey which lead to second goal but Colback and Cook gave the guy the freedom of W12. Great finish though .
Where was Nardi for the first goal? Crosses into the box now clearly his Achilles heel . Yang did give it away in a bad area which was poor but when he turned inside there was zero options for him .
Reading the thread Varane is a strange one . I see why he frustrates some as he still has the propensity to turn back which is more annoying when we are chasing the game , but I thought he was our best player today .
I said this to my dad after and he replied “really?”.
I said who else would it be and his reply was “yeah I suppose you’re right “

As a team we look much better than we did in October / November.
But 5 defeats from 7 with a bunch of tough games ahead is a little worrying.
Midfield is a bit of a concern for me . Won’t see Field again for a while unfortunately and if Morgan is struggling we have no one else to come in.
Hope Ilias has eaten this evening and cheered up a bit too. Frey chose Ramadan to snatch the ball off him .
Not happy

Hanging around after the game I had to do a double take as I saw a guy walking towards me with his girlfriend, who I thought I recognised, I did! She was with Sinclair Armstrong who must still have a soft spot for us.

The grass is always greener.

Great post we gift goals and do not have enough firepower to overcome those mistakes up front.Getting to halftime level always seem to give us a fighting chance under Marti but we are the gift that keeps on giving today again.
I still think we can pull a draw here but it goes without saying we have to get 1 before they get 2

You mean like Derby and Portsmouth away?We were level in both games at ht and conceded sloppy goals in both matches.

Loads of police and a sniffer dog just after the lower loft turnstiles. Bit odd. Could think of better uses of those resources in the local area unless they had some sort of tip-off all hell would break loose at QPR v Sheffield United.

Happened before a few times.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.
