Personally, I think the Ocelot Spungoes have got it sewn up this season. Deep midcentrefieldsman Hulk Benchpress is in the form of his life and Special Play coach Tex McKexoff has been inspirational in 3rd Quarter powerplays, since his appointment from the Scranton Fuknuckles. IBS News has them as a certainty to make the post-season, all conference round of 98.

Not something I really follow but a few years ago I went to a New York Red Bulls match and it blew my mind that the kick off time was merely some kind of recommendation. Game didn't start until a good 20 minutes after the kick off time and apparently thats normal over there |  |

I live about 25mins from Gillette Stadium, was at the very first New England Revolution match, a S/T holder for years and even went to a few away games, but the interest I had waned once my son wasn't as keen to go. Now I attend the occasional fixture, watch 'em on the Telly every now and then and hope they do well - just prefer heading into town for sports events, Bruins and Red Sox are a short cab ride away.
I think the best teams in this league would be a relegation fighting Championship side. |  |

Used to go to LA Galaxy games back in the early years. The old Galaxy - Chivas USA matches were really good. Amazing atmosphere. Got turned off a bit when Becks came in and changed the team colors and tried to rebrand the team. Was hilarious when the LA fan came onto the pitch and challenged him.
I really got turned off by the team when they brought in "Chicharito" Hernandez to be the main striker and team leader. The USA-Mexico rivalry is intense (I have some Mexican ancestry but detest that team) and to bring in a leader from a rival like that was a step too far for me.
I've contemplated a separate thread on that topic, but just to throw this out there, is there a player from a rival country or team that you dislike so much that if QPR brought them on, you'd wind up taking a break from supporting the team? |  | | |

I've never really felt any attachment to the MLS Whitecaps. I go to about one game a season, if that. The NASL version was a different animal. Good young players — including Bruce Grobbelaar and Peter Beardsley — and oldies Rudi Krol and Phil Parkes (Wolves version.) Really big crowds, 50,000+ for playoff games. Back then there was almost no European or British soccer on TV, so you could really get behind the Caps. These days there's no real identity. Players come and go with barely a whisper. There's little passion at games, except the Cascadia derbies with Seattle and Portland. Away fans travel in numbers for those as there's history going back decades. The MLS works financially I guess, in a way the NASL didn't, but for the most part it's thin gruel. | | | |
