Well done chaps, thoroughly deserved. Up yours Liverpool for disrespecting the cup.

Nice to see nothing changes, 9 minutes of injury time invented from nowhere to give them every chance.

Looks awfully dull this winning in the cup business, doesn't it?

Very impressed with Plymouth beating Brentford and Liverpool without conceding. It was only in the last 15 minutes that Liverpool woke up a bit but for most of the game they were going through the motions. It is only Man City that really put out a strong side in the early rounds. I think in our last 10 league meetings with Brentford we only won twice so Plymouth have done well.

However, my fave second team, the Spiders with a depleted side, have won at Ibrox and that has made my season. After losing to rock bottom Airdrie Onions last week I thought they would get battered today. Brilliant result for the much overlooked Glasgow side.

A problem for who? Give them a vote now, I bet they would take beating Liverpool over staying up? What if they win the 5th round too? They've got a lifetime memory. That's what it is all about.

Who the heck remembers league games in the championship a couple of years later?

And, as we always say, why can't you do both? Why can't you put your full side out in the cup and then play the same full side in the league game the following week? It's just trendy sports science drivel and gives managers the excuse to throw the cup.

Or Jimmy Dunne the case in point. We rested a bloke we tried to flog 2 weeks later.

And yes, I am still bitter.

Me too. Stay bitter, mate! (For bitter, read proud.)

For some reason they've used an orange ball in all the fourth round games.

It was a rainbow ball apparently.

But would Plymouth rather stay up than win a fa cup game ? That's the problem.

Why can't they do both?
I'm not sure them losing today would help them staying up either, the confidence they must get from today will help them.
The 2 new centre halves they have were outstanding

Excellent result for Queen's Park, when did they last win at Ibrox?

The last time they beat Rangers was in 1882 so around then or earlier. They were always part time until around 2020.

I think they used to play their home games at Hampden Park until it got redeveloped.A couple of hundred fans in a ground that held thousands.

A colleague is a season ticket holder for Plymouth despite living here.

He was expecting Salah et al.

If it was me, I would have been so peed off, with Liverpools teamsheet.

Plymouth would have been favourites. But can't really say they beat Liverpool.

But the level of respect, Liverpool have shown this competition today should be punished and not allowed.

It's a competition dreadfully tarnished. But of course the FA allow this because they are pathetically weak !!

Anyhow my Plymouth supporting colleague thinks they will definitely stay up, however he believed Rooney was a decent appointment..

These 'big' teams get the rules changed so no replays, and then they still disrespect the competition and opposition by sticking out a 2nd/3rd team.
Got what they deserved.

Smells like a trout farm in here

If Liverpool were drawn away to Man Utd or Arsenal, would they have put out the side they did today ???

I don't think so, they would not want a rival or a familiar foe to get one over on them. The competition is irrelevant. It's the opposition that would determine their team selection.

Total joke tbh...

Anyone that went down to Devon a few weeks ago can tell you Plymouth were shocking, their keeper made a few worldies.
The gap between the prem and championship is massive but only if the prem teams play half of their first team, don’t know why they don’t start them and take them off when up

Right I have had a detailed look at the past meetings and it appears the last time Queen's Park won at Ibrox was in 1948 and their last home win over Rangers was in 1928. It appears the Spiders hadn't beaten Rangers in the cup since 1882 as the 1928/48 wins were in the league.

the competition is far from irrelevant, it's been great this weekend a couple of brilliant games, knockout football at it's best. If it was a league game between a team at the top and a team at the bottom you can be sure the team at the top wouldn't play a full strength team maybe leave 1 or 2 out ahead of a game against a rival, it's no different in the cup

If Liverpool, QPR or other teams want to rest people and throw the games thats upto them, it doesn't devalue anything and for Liverpool it's certainly understandable when they have Everton on Wednesday and and a semi final a few days ago

This all comes imo from the top clubs who drive the message that cups don't matter so everyone copies them and then look shocked that it's the big club that always win them as their squads can cope with resting 4/5 players in the early rounds

The Liverpool line-up was an insult to Plymouth, but, Argyle will not care about that. This is the kind of fun that you can have if you take the Third Round seriously.

They did say on the commentary that Liverpool have 5 Premier League games in the next 15 days so yesterdays team selection was understandable.

Well-done Plymouth, and as we have already played you twice, now replicate that form, survive in your relegation battle, whilst taking three points off all the teams you play, that are lying from 5th to14th in the Championship.😁

The club owned Hampden park until they sold it to The S F A in 2020. They still play there now.

Why can't they say they beat Liverpool? The team he put out still had 9 players that fairly regularly play for the first team and the Liverpool side that started the game would probably walk the Championship!
