Half a million a week for 9 years! on 12:03 - Jan 17 with 1116 views | queensparker | Plenty of rumours flying around they’re facing a gigantic points deduction now I found it hard to find anywhere to bet on them going down next season and they’re in the top ten favourites go down *this* season [Post edited 17 Jan 12:06]

Half a million a week for 9 years! on 12:09 - Jan 17 with 1063 views | Juzzie | Seems like doing a Chelsea by spreading cost over a long contract but I thought it was limited for 5 years? Unless that only applies to a new signing. World has gone bonkers. I remember when we talked out £50k a week being utterly insane (which it was and still is). Now the likes of £100k/200k/500k are being banded around like it's small change.

Citeh know something we don’t . They’re probably getting away with the charges. Citeh and Chelsea have never won anything in my eyes .
Half a million a week for 9 years! on 12:30 - Jan 17 with 953 views | LazyFan | Lets say your about to be relegated due to a points deduction and all your best players are going to be miffed and leave. Exactly what happened to Reading (oh my ribs). If you have the money, you can tie up all your best young players on long contracts to ensure that if that happens, you have top talent to get you back up the league in a season. If you are lucky to be in a transfer window when you see this coming, you can also use that money to sign a bucketload of young players. I notice the rumour mill has them buying lots of players in a Jan window when few clubs do that. This could be especially true as some of your existing old hands, like Walker, have sniffed the stink early and now want out before it all gets messy. This could be what they are doing; it's just a guess. It will be interesting to see what the other players like Phoden will do.

I read in a paper here that Mbappe is on just shy of €1m a week at Real! Shudder to think what Ronaldo (slim) is on out in Saudi.

I've also heard reliably that the Sir Jamie Pollock own goal in 1998 is an intrinsic factor in the Premier League's deliberations and consequently QPR will be deducted 500pts with immediate effect.

Ronaldo on €3m a week. Contract expires end of season and looking to re-sign. Been banging in the goals but the team still 3rd and 12 points off the lead at the halfway stage.

Apparently, City played hardball with him. He will *not* have use of the pool car

You can sign a player for as long as you like, but you can only amortise (word?) the cost over the first five years max. My guess is that M.City are protecting themselves against Haaland leaving for Real Madrid on a free, or small transfer fee. And by offering such a huge weekly wedge, they've probably been able to up the release fee which the player will undoubtedly have in his contract. Whatever you think about where they get their money from (Clue: Stink. Week old Fish.), it cannot be denied that City apply it very cleverly, unlike eg their Manc neighbours.

Only minus 500 pts, you say? Quick, we must agree to the league's terms and contract before they realise they should have smashed us for way more.
