That practice was curtailed by UEFA back in 2023. A transfer fee can only be spread across a maximum of five years of a player's initial contract. That being said, the new regulation wasn't applied retrospectively so chelshyte got away with it. Also, a club can spread the cost over a contract extension, but the extension can also not be more than five years. Explains the latest trend of clubs offering extensions mid-contract.

It's not mad, it's obscene.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." As I'm reading this my lass is telling me that our daughter who is a nurse is still at work... an hour after an already 12 hour shift as the nurse who was on nights cried off sick... could be on wellpast midnight... all for 30k plus a year

Now I know there are not people paying to watch her work.... but if you was having a major heart attack... would you want Haarland to bring you back?
.
Totally obscene is too soft a description

On the flip side to that and assuming he pays PAYE then that’s over £200000 pound a week going into the treasury.

Plenty of rumours flying around they’re facing a gigantic points deduction now

I found it hard to find anywhere to bet on them going down next season and they’re in the top ten favourites go down *this* season
