I don't post much on here, but do read avidly. I don't know the OP or anything about him/her other than what they post. I don't know if its intentional or not, but it does seem that a lot of their posts and replies are positioned as bait. Seems a bit unnecessary to me but each to their own I guess. For me, personally, I find it quite tedious.

Last weekend’s cup game really means nothing to me on my overall opinion on Marti. I wish he had taken off Ashby at HT but maybe he decided that would completely wreck the bloke’s confidence.
I believe Marti is doing a good job, but not a great one. He has his faults. His subs are often a bit strange and he doesn’t seem to be able to change the flow of a game that often. I do think he is a great coach, many players have improved, he is sensible, he speaks well and is likeable, he’s doing a good job I would say.

No idea what you mean by 'bait', mate. I do what anyone else does here - post and put up polls etc. relative to what I have opinions on (and am interested in other opinons on, as with this post). In that sense, anything anyone posts is 'bait'.
If you don't want to 'take the bait' (i.e. respond to my views and discussion), even if others would rather seethe with their own resentments and resentful assumptions and projections, it's rather easy - just don't!

It's all about opinions, and it's an interesting question, I think, after all the on-board discussions, which is why I put it up. If you don't agree/like it, just don't vote!
its trying to create animosity against Marti and you know it....
I fully understand the annoyance of throwing in the towel in the second half but I think it was a tactical decision from Marti. The board stuck with Marti when things weren't going well and he stuck with Ashby and Madsen for similar but also slightly different reasons.
One argument is that Marti gave Ashby more time to try and rectify his mistakes of the first half. He didn't but if he did we would be talking about how Ashby showed his professionalism to keep a cool head and show us there's a decent player in there after all. If he'd come off at half time his confidence would have taken a severe dent and who knows how long it would take for him to recover from that and that's not what we need from a player on loan.
Madsen is different in that he's had enough chances to prove he's a footballer and he's decided it's not his preferred profession so that should be last we see of him. The reason I say it was a tactical decision is because our squad is still a bit thin despite most of the crocks returning. The January window is gaping so if we need to get rid of a few and get a few in, the message has been sent loud and clear who we need to replace/send back and I'd much rather he did that in a game we lose every year than against Plymouth/Hull etc.
Annoying but can see why he did it....but that's only my opinion of course.

I don't get wound up by this stuff, and of course you're right, I don't have to engage (and I generally don't).
But I find it interesting that a lot of the discourse I see on this site often has you somewhere in amongst it. That may be coincidence or may not be. May be deliberate, may not be.
None of it's really important though and I'm sure we won't be losing any sleep over this.

Cant see any controversy from that game.
We played a weakened team in a competition where the top two leagues' clubs all at times play second choice teams.
Ie it's not just us !!
It's common place...
And you very well know that 24 out of the 25 pages on the Leicester thread is yourself thinking everyone is being incredibly unkind in your direction and by yourself, responding by insulting any poster that you deem to have abused you.

Actually I think you are the one missing the point. I feel exactly the same about Marti post-Leicester as I did pre-Leicester, and according to your poll so do about 85-90% of the other fans here.

Sums this whole thing up. Some people were annoyed by thr team selection. Some didn't care. Overall though, most feel the same as they did before and see it as one game. Controversy?? Says it all about your thinking on this matter and your agenda. More abuse to come for leke who don't agree. Oh sorry.
