And Everton kick off in three hours. Football is getting more nutty.

We'll see if it's truly Wayne Rooney's Everton now!

Unlike the West Ham and Luton (obvs) situations, I'm just ever-so-slightly worried about this.

Jose Mourinho seems the most likely candidate now.

US owners = celebrity manager incoming. More likely to be Kim Kardashian than Marti.

Good to hear - I'm sure you're right. It just strikes me that Everton are in that 'zone' where they might look at Marti or hopefully Rohl - both exceptional head coaches IMHO. We won't keep our secret for long...

Big return for Moyes surely. Will probably keep them up too

Everton's new owners are advised by Retexo, much like we were until we hired one of them!

He's no secret. I'm sure his manager/agent fields inquiries all the time. But, I'm also pretty sure, he's no Michael "Mick" Beale. I'm guessing he'll want to improve his resumé with us in the next three years. That would ideally mean promotion, or playoffs, if he wants to take a serious step up in his career.

Our old friend Ashley Young playing against his son, Tyler tonight.

He was on our books for a while, according to a mate’s son he went to school with.

I doubt Everton are looking at the Championship table and being inexplicably drawn to the team in 13th place. Very rare for Champ managers to be poached by PL clubs.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Indeed. I love how much we love our manager but we are not at risk of him being poached by a Premier league or upper Champ club - not yet anyway

I note A Begovic was on the bench for Everton tonight. I thought he had retired!

Another way of looking at this, any PL/upper champ clubs who ARE looking for a manager (except everton) now have another strong candidate, with bigger reputation than Marti, on their list.

I thought Moyes said he didn't want to be in a relegation situation? Thats why he wasn't interested in Southampton

Given the bottom 3, Moyes surely won’t have to work too hard to keep them up.

My guess is that Dyche will be in charge of Watford in the coming weeks, played there and Cleverley must be on the ropes given their history

A Premier League team who have sacked their manager because they are desperate not to be relegated to the Championship are not going to appoint a Championship manager.

I don't get how no Prem team isn't looking at Sheff Wed's manager. (or ours but shhhhhh!)

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!
