I wish you all well for the new year fellow RRRRRrrs
I don't think you need me to tell you, but:
whatever your alliances of hatreds therein, just to say, Mr Salah is without doubt one of the best players you'll see in your lifetime, certainly top 6 I'd have thought.
At the time of Chelscum ousting him out, not able to get a regular tune out of him, through to his performances now, he is as good as it gets
well done Mr Salah, we salute you, for which many thanks, and, if you can't resolve your financial contract issues, we welcome you,
you know it makes sense.....

Messi is very one footed too.
True , he is but he has control over his right foot , its not just a swinger that gets lucky every so often . Salah could have had a hat trick yesterday but ran round them to use his left foot.

I would say he will go down as a great - unsure about top 6 personally - I would probably even have Taarabt above him - biased I know - but Taarabt can do things that no one else can and a lot of pros say that

Definitely Adel. He could do things that Stan & Rodney could only dream of. If he could have Luca Modric drooling over his skills then it's not just us in QPR world. I still think that PK getting POTY over him is another of those non existent 1986 Milk Cup final things. I would Thierry Henry over Salah too (sorry Brian) maybe Jim McCalliog but that could just be a memory thing. Charlie Nicholas is another strong memory.

Harry Kane has won SFA in his career, nada, zilch. The criteria was how good a player is/ was.
Who's talking about trophies? Salah has done much, much more with his talent than Taarabt, whose best ever season was probably getting promoted to the PL. You can't compare that to someone who's spent multiple seasons as the best player for a top club (or England's all-time top scorer).
Taarabt had lots of talent, sure, but it means nothing if you can't apply it.

If your criteria is players who you've seen in the flesh then I'd understand your vote for Taraabt. However, the OP didn't say that so it's safe to assume that the criteria is top 6 players you've seen in your lifetime, whether you watched it in person or on TV. On that basis, neither Salah nor Kane come close (unless you're 8-years-old) and Taraabt doesn't enter the conversation. As for Charlie Nicholas, come on now...

done much, much more with his talent than Taarabt. That was my point. Taarabt had more talent. Taarabt had the ability to do what Salah does but failed to do so, Salah doesn't have the talent to do the things Adel could.

Indeed. Football is a team game and the top players consistently apply themselves at the top level, both individually and collectively. Whilst he's not in my top 6, Salah has certainly done that, and sustained it over a long period of time. Taraabt has not. A few flicks, tricks and nutmegs in the championship for 1 season doesn't make you one of the greatest football players to have ever played the game.

What a dismissive viewpoint "A few flicks, tricks and nutmegs in the championship for 1 season" Were you one of those that voted for PK? In just 1 game Adel shows more skill than Salah will ever have. You don't appear to have grasped that in the hierarchy of talent, Adel is at the pinnacle, irrespective of whether he ever did it over a long time or not. If longevity was the focus, I am going with Peter Shilton.
