He's not happy either. I like what he says about not letting us fall into another bad run but they've really got to be at it as best they can on Sunday at Norwich. A very unhappy hunting ground for us again and we've got to try and change that. Fair play to Sam, he sounds more disappointed than us fans.
It's not my job to explain it, is it? But our acting captain's shoulder shrug ('that's football') and Cifuentes' bizarro 'I have my thoughts (but the last thing I'm going to do is talk about them)' really hacks me off on top of the codswallop he and his players served up. If you don't want to talk about the game and pay the paying fans' some self-respect with a bit of insight, or you're too stupid to have any, don't do the f*cking interviews!

If he can't explain it, other than to say 'that's football', how do and he the players expect to put it right?
Scary!
Of course he knows wtf went wrong at Swansea.....but he isnt going to say that Dunne went to sleep for the first, poor defending across the board, etc, etc. He is just playing the game!!!

I like Field but I’d rather Dunne was captain. Field comes across as a bit quiet and considered. Good traits but not for a captain.

I found Sam reasonably reflective while maintaining the level of positive spin you’d expect from official club communications like this.
Media trained?
In fairness, the players, the manager and the fans admit and recognise it was a very poor performance, especially that first half.
Marti continues to allude to mentality, which I think is the biggest issue along with the inability to put our best side out because of the plethora of ongoing injuries. Just as our long term injured return, we lose the two centre backs that have been fundamental to our recent improvements.
Luck has not been kind to us this season either, but we have managed to overcome all the issues to claw our way up the table.
Just worried we may drop like a stone again now.

If I could pick a player to be injured Steve Cook would be bottom of that list by a long way.

Marti said we were virtually 'absent' in that Swansea first half but refused to tell us his thoughts as to why, while Field just more or less shrugged his shoulders, said he couldn't 'put his finger' on it, and repeated 'that's football'. Except it isn't/wasn't - it was just surreally abject! Like the first half against Oxford and virtually the whole game against Bristol City, it was off any footballing scale of diabolical.
If MC is also saying, confusingly, we need to turn the page quickly while learning from it, one wonders (since clearly no one's telling us plebs anything) just WHAT is being learned. If people want adult communication from Nourry, which he's now showing some signs of cottoning on to, it makes no sense to indulge this kind of self-serving evasiveness/ vagueness from the coach or his players. In fact, I'd suggest it's part of the problem.

An injury was all but inevitable. Played every minute of every game. The hope was Morrison could step into his boots alongside Salter and we would have been ok.
Morrison looks to have the same inability to stay fit that afflicts Salter. Not good.

I'd suggest they know exactly what went wrong but he is hardly going to come out and call out the defence playing too deep, Smyth not pushing forward enough, Fox and Pall getting done time and time again. They both made it quite clear these are things for the dressing room. When a manager calls out the players publicly it's usually when they are on the way out. His half time subs made it quite clear he understood

As we say, if you're at QPR there's something wrong with you somewhere. If JCS played 40 games a season he wouldn't be here. Plenty of teams watched Morrison, this is why he's here.

I totally agree we only get likes of JCS and Adel because they have other “issues”. But Morrison played 30 games for Wigan last season and has had surgery this season. Playing him every game since wasn’t sensible but was necessary.

Well I agree with your last sentence on both counts.
But let's dig into that "30 appearances" for Wigan shall we? Nine of them as sub. Almost all of the starts pre-Christmas.
Here's his record last season after Christmas...
Jan 1 - STARTS. Subbed off on 71 Jan 8 - STARTS. Plays 90. Jan 13 - STARTS. Off after 61 mins. Jan 20 - 30 mins as a sub Jan 23 - five mins as a sub, doesn't play again for a month Feb 17 - seven mins as a sub Feb 27 - four mins as a sub March 12 - STARTS. Subbed off after 45 mins, doesn't play again for a month April 9 - four mins as a sub April 13 - 19 mins as a sub April 20 - STARTS, played 90 April 27 - subbed off after 45 mins, doesn't play again.

Mentality……confidence and belief. Up and down like the proverbial brides nighty. Bizarre.
I put it down to a distinct lack of experience and nous, along with the constant shuffling of the team.
Will be a rollercoaster ride for the rest of the season

I know this is the wearying 'line', but l I just don't buy it, that's all. It also doesn't address the counter-point I've made about these interviews being a waste of fans' time, and in fact adding insult to injury, if the manager is essentially saying 'I have my thoughts about what's going on, but I'm not going to tell you'. If MC had basically summarised what you say here, it's hardly incendiary news, as your eyes don't lie to you! Instead, by saying he isn't going to 'blame the players' because we picked up a few points recently (conveniently overlooking the abjection v Oxford and Bristol City), he's basically saying that it's OK/understandable/acceptable to just not turn up once in a while. In that case, why all the secrecy? It doesn't stack up, it shows a lack of pride, and it's all so QPR.
To repeat, this is professional football, which means good players want to be good players all the time. Sometimes you'll lose, sure, or fall short, but you turn up, play football, and you're competitive. If some people still find any of this somehow contrarian, I don't know what to say to them.
