QPR WANT NORWEGIAN FUTURE STAR
According to news outlets in Norway, QPR are interested in signing Tromso striker Lasse Nordas. Lasse is only 22 yet has heavily impressed during his career in Norway so far. He has featured for the Norway U21s on several occasions netting 3.
This season, he has 13 goal contributions within 28 games in the Eliteserien. He also netted 2 goals within the UECL qualifiers.
Valued at £1.5million, QPR are not the only club interested.

What's that Lasse? Someone's fallen down a well and you haven't scored a goal in 4 games?

Never knowingly right.

Think Hayden would be a big addition, but on a 2 year deal as Colback needs to go. If not Southampton or Watford will pick him up and he will do well. He will have to fit the wage structure

That would take us to six. Saito, Dembele, Edwards and Ashby.

I still only count 5 if we do that as Dembele is now perm with us.

But still on loan until the summer, maybe?

If he plays like he did last season, he's going to be a great signing for someone.

I agree I think we need to move on, we've got enough in central midfield now and other areas need sorting more urgently (not something I would have said two months ago mind you)

Thomas Waddingham, (me neither), Australian 19yo striker from Brisbane Roar being linked on the interweb thingy.

I don't see the value in Hayden when we have a trio of Varane, Field and Morgan as first choice who are 23, 26 and 18 respectively.
They are backed up by Colback (34) and Madsen (24).
I'd rather keep our powder dry and replace Colback in the summer with someone of a better age profile.

Now we seem to be mid table (fingers crossed), there's probably not as much desire to bring players in.
We would all like a striker, but they are coming in to be back up to Frey and take minutes away from Lloyd and Kolli who we own.

The glaring hole for me is left back as I don't think Larkeche is good enough when he is fit and we know Paal is moving on.
I think it's worth spending money there

If we have any spare money for signings I’d rather they threw it at Jimmy Dunne and Kolli

Signs summer of 2025, still on loan contract until then.

We do still have 1 loan spot left.

My guess I'd that we will probably use it to get a left back in given we are short in that area.

Potentially agree unless Larkeche close, though Morgan Fox has spent as much of his career there as CB and he is not exactly letting us down. I could understand if we go for no one unless someone gets a bad injury. That’s potentially a great position to be in. Going to be interesting when ( and if) we have a full fit squad

I certainly wouldn't write Larkeche off, but we require someone else too and Fox isn't it, though he can do the job defensively. We need a LB with enough speed and passing ability to feed and support Chair.

I’ve watched Tommy Waddingham many times as Brisbane Roar is my local team. He’s tall, strong, has the natural striker’s instinct that can’t be coached and his movement is good. Although he’s only 19 there are already clubs lining up for him not just us. Rumoured that Bayern and two other championship clubs are also tracking him. He has all the attributes to succeed but only if he goes to the right club to continue his development. He’d go well at ours I reckon and we’d have a saleable striker on our hands in a few seasons.

He’s a real trier and brings a good attitude as he seems mature for his age.

I hear la crème de la crème, Andy Robertson, might be available soon.

Sounds good.

Is he versatile as an egg?

I know zero about this fella so thanks for that first hand view.
He sounds like a pint of Northern bitter and going by your scouting he could be one to track but is he pacey???

Let him know about Earls Court, hopefully we can tie him down sport

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Hayden wouldn't surprise me considering he's the name most QPR fans have been touting, but personally I can't see it and don't really want it...

Firstly, signing him is essentially an admission of failure that we didn't get him in the summer when we could easily have, and I would be a little surprised to see that kind of humility/backtracking from Master Nourry.

Secondly, we signed Varane specifically as his replacement. Statistically, Varane was the closest comparison to Hayden available in the market, and at 23, it makes no sense to bring in an ageing player to block his time. They're essentially the same players who play the same position, and if we're developing Varane - esp as he seems to have settled recently after a shaky start - it doesn't make sense to buy another when there's much bigger priority positions in the team.

I personally would like the experience and nous that Hayden brought last season, and we sure could have done with it at the start of the season, but after depth at full back and up top, I would much rather have someone closer to Morgan who can play more of an 8 and be progressive, with the legs for higher tempo pressing.

I asked a mate in Sydney who goes to every single home game of Sydney FC and follows the Aussie league passionately. His response:

"Interesting choice. Brisbane have not won a game this season. Far, far better strikers than him in the league. I'm not sure what someone is seeing that we're not. No, I don't really get it"

As I recall we’ve had a number of bums from Oz, in fact I’m struggling to remember a successful one.

Think Ned Kelly was the first of many, they all came full of eastern promise, no more thanks.

Massimo Luongo‘s career took off after us but can’t think of another one. Ryan Nelson (a kiwi) the only other one close I can think of.
