Is three in a row possible?

Will the Archibald Leach eleven fold in front of a resurgent Rangers? Will we continue to see Kolli-flower? Does Marti Cifuentes get better looking every time QPR wins?

The Ancient Astronaut theorists say,'YES'! Again!!

A difficult game away, but we are tough to break down. I'm going for a grinding 1-0 win (though a point would be fantastic).

Ashby had a couple of aberrations second half but aside from that, thought the entire back four and the two centre mids were excellent. Perhaps Field was less involved as Varane seemed to intercept practically everything that came through the centre.

Smyth even beyond the goal was very good in front of Dunne.

In games like these you need a no 9 and no 10 to occupy the opposition on the rare occasions the ball gets forward, that didn’t happen with Andersen and Kolli. Saito also had an indifferent day.

In the heat of the game, we are ineffective in the oppo half, or at least until they tire. Basically the back 6 need more from the front four.

Agree with what many others have said, possibly the worst first 45 mins I've seen from us but we held out. Not sure what happen at HT with Kolli but I hope he wasn't the scape goat as Anderssen was by far the biggest culprit for no end product and losing possession and was frankly p1ssed off seeing him trot out again for the second half. Marti needs to get wise to using his subs better and today I think today showed that again.

Smyth ran himself into the ground, and was probably our best player today, followed by Varane.

The ref was a complete knob end, yellow card one minute same offense 10 minutes later nothing. Corners not given and certain players allowed to foul at will. Expecting a fairly low score on the match report for him.

Alfie Lloyd runs his heart out but is just to nice when it come to the dark arts. Hulled down by his shirt 3 times and barely raised an arm to complain. Come on Alfie, you don't have scream at the ref but you can ask him to give you the time of day.

When Chair decided himself he had to take our last corner everyone around me and including me said it's going to hit the first man and then it hit the first man I realised how far we still have to go. I ask what has he done this season to justify ordering anyone around on that pitch?

We've progressed, but still have some fairly evident issues that need sorting quick.

Yeah, thought Marti got a lot wrong today and we won a point despite that. I feel for Andersen as he was great last season but it's crazy starting him as his legs have gone and it's a waste of a shirt, no matter how good his touch is. We've got a brilliant base to our team now and it's about getting up the pitch quicker when we win the ball. We need more pace, not less. Such a shame that Dembele got that injury.

this was a decent game in the championship, brizzle may have had most of it but we defended well, kept shape and worked hard , took only chance an it's a GOAL OF THE SEASON , brizzle were chasing a play off spot so a good point, 6 unbeaten we ARE ON A ROLL!

Kolli not scapegoat - he asked Marti to come off - had been ill midweek. His stats show this : 7 touches in 45 mins ; won zero duels ; no shots; one pass to a teammate. Alfie while not perfect made 27 touches and just caused more havoc to the City defence. Koki was nowhere near his best, Andersen poor, Kolli not his best. No wonder our midfiield was struggling: they had to keep winning the ball back / often had no outlet to pass to.

I agree about corners. Love Illy but baffled at how a generally good player technically is often so poor at corners.

Football's a funny old game.

Over the last 5 or so matches we've played pretty much played how I thought we would under Ainsworth.

Positives

Well organised, hard to break down & good team spirit

Negatives

Sacrificing any consistency in attack, relying too much on our defence to keep us in the game & at times a bit boring.

Overall.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the points we've got in the last two weeks and we have improved as a team.

I just hope in the 2nd half of the season we see more marti-ball and les gaz-ball.

Much of that game was, indeed, a very hard watch for Rangers fans. But, we are still closer to the drop zone than fans and the club would wish us to be. That requires a game plan, in order take the climb up the table. Marti's plan was clearly to defend doggedly and try to catch them on the break. It was ugly but it worked. The defenders were very good at their job. It would have been even better if the break-out moves were conducted more carefully and if our lonely striker had been able to hold on to the ball a little longer. But, we are not Liverpool. We have to make the best of what we have and Marti does that well. Like it or not, today's result was a success.

That game was ugly as sin. But we came away from a 3 game week unbeaten with 7 from a possible 9 points. Frankly, the game could be as ugly as a Mordor porno: I'll take it.

The points, I mean.

Exactly - this is what matters, that’s a brilliant return from three matches.

We’ve produced two of the worst halves of football in living memory (today first half and Oxford first half) but we have also defended like kings and let in one goal in five games.

Being ugly and hard to beat is the right way to go when you’ve got an injury ravaged squad now onto its only fit forward that wasn’t even that great in the first place.

Fair play to Marti for setting up his team like this when he clearly doesn’t really want to, fair play to players for their defensive efforts and fair play to the fans for not moaning or giving up while we get ourselves out of the sh-t once again by parking the bus

Interesting analysis from Leroy Rosenior and Tony Thorpe on City that I think our forward line could learn from, particularly the bit about movement in the box.
