Has anyone else noticed that, when he’s subbed off, Saito turns to the pitch and bows. In a sporting context this is also done at martial arts dojos and at Sumo wrestling. Being a bit of a fan of all things Japanese I love that he does this.

I really enjoy watching him - and his lack of end product is rather more to our finishing ability really isn't it.

He's out of contract at Lommel at the end of the season isn't he - so a contractual free for all? I imagine there'll be suitors aplenty but would love him here permanently. Big if re: our staying up in there of course.

Its all about respect in Japanese culture until you start working for them and ask for a pay rise, I know that much! Lovely player though and seems a great lad, still our only real threat in attacking positions. [Post edited 2 Dec 18:26]

Haha yes, having worked for a Japanese company for 16 years!

Compared to where I am now where I've had two decent pay rises in two years.
