Credit to Derby for their effort, but we made harder work of that than it had to be. Still, would have cheerfully accepted a draw beforehand so a win is excellent. Need to build on it on Saturday now.

Despite us getting a win away at a club who have only lost once at home after we had gone toe to toe with top of the table Leeds for 96 minutes folks still are moaning.
Despite the "control" we had in that first 20 mins Derby still managed forays into our penalty area creating chances before we scored the second goal.
Yes it was backs to the wall stuff for a lot of the game but for once things went in our favour. Depsite all that "pressure" from Derby for 60 minutes they only managed to score from a penalty.
Despite folks moaning about the poor quality if the squad and the not so great summer transfer window we find ourselves 11th
We should have got something from the Burnley game , Leeds too and whilst we lost we lost tryting to win itnot settling for the draw.....hindsight eh

Because I am not discussing the review purely the posts on here during the game .....and my psot where I offered my opinion how it seems some of our fan base seem to revel in us being under the cosh and moght prefer us to lose so they can continue to post negativity.

I made the point a few times last night about our physical and mental fitness. We HAVE to improve on those to get better. Derby didn’t seem to suffer from the physical tiredness at all whereas we were blowing hard and making horrendous passes not even a junior side should make.

Didn't it cost Man City goals against Spurs, yes there is a big difference of class between teams in the Premiership and Championship but lots of the same applies. Play in tight areas of the pitch it will cause you problems defensively especially in your defensive half of the pitch.
In that first 20mins our passing was crisp and movement was good, they needed to close us down it is then up to us to exploit the gaps elsewhere while ensuring we didn't buckle under pressure. Quite happy for a defender facing his on goal to stifling a move with a kick to row Z but not happy when you can see the length of the pitch looking forward and kicking the ball anywhere as seen late in the game last night there should be better options..
Really can't see the point of Vipotnik running around like a headless chicken when the defender has an ocean of space to pass the ball on to or as the speeding Vipotnik came forward just push it passed him leaving him unable to stop or turn given the speed he is travelling taking him out of the games really needs to be cleverer in his closing down, somebody else did the same looking like an amateur, previously we have seen with Eom closing down in the way they have been asked to do looking just as bad. | | | |

The whole point is we allowed them a route back in.
With that ludicrous faff at the back,there is always a chance for the opposition.
