Nardi aside, he's surely our most consistent pre-season signing. Game in and game out, whoever the opponent, whatever the weather, or the angst surrounding our club he delivers, usually with a smile on his face. Sure, he's "what it says on the packet" type of winger. Take it to the goal line, trick your way past two or three defenders (that's the hard bit) and cross into the box where, ideally, a couple of strikers will be licking their lips. Unfortunately he can't do too much about the last bit at the moment. Maybe when Frey gets back his build up will show more results. |  | | |  |

A lot of clubs suddenly seem to have a diminutive, hard working, tenatious, smiling trickster from the land of the rising sun in the dressing room (Which they probably cleans up after themselves).
Japanese and South Korean players also seem to conduct themselves with the same deportment that's woven in their societies. We're lucky to have a couple. |  |

One of the things that impressed me most was when he filled in at left back a couple of times early in the season.
Out of position, in a new, highly physical division, in what was then a team devoid of confidence. No complaints, cracked on and did a decent job.

Doing some detective work, we loaned him from Lommel (Belgian Club) which is well known. Steve Bould was manager at the time when Koki was loaned to us. Sadly, he resigned last month and the caretaker manager there is the assistant manager to Steve Bould, another British former player Ryan Garry who will likely also be monitoring his progress.
What we need to hope is that a new foreign manager comes in that sees him as surplus to requirement. Also, he is out of contract in the summer, so perhaps the experts here can tell me if we can already sign him on a pre-contract to start from 1st July 2025? |  | | |
