"An update on our injured lads 🤕
During this international break, the club would like to provide supporters with an update on our injured players.
Over the course of recent weeks, the team have endured a number of injury challenges.
Liam Morrison and Harrison Ashby have already made successful returns and the club are pleased to confirm, subject to continuing on their current rehabilitation path, Joe Walsh, Morgan Fox and Kenneth Paal are set to be available for selection when QPR host Stoke City at MATRADE Loftus Road this Saturday.
Jack Colback is on course to be available for selection in November while Michael Frey is anticipated to be available within two weeks.
Jake Clarke-Salter is anticipated to return to the first team in the first half of December.
Ilias Chair, who came off during our home fixture against Middlesbrough with a knee injury, is also expected to be available for selection in the first half of December.
Kader Dembele, however, faces a period of time on the sidelines following knee surgery. Subject to a successful rehabilitation, the club is hopeful he will be in a position to return to the pitch in February 2025.
The 21-year-old hasn’t featured since our 1-1 home draw with Coventry City on October 22nd.
Director of Performance Ben Williams said: “There is no doubt this is a challenging period.
“This season, very unusually, 70% of our time-loss injuries have been due to non-preventable impact and contact injuries.
"The performance team we have built continue to work incredibly hard at our elite training ground to provide the best player availability possible.
“As previously reported elsewhere, due to a change in my personal circumstances, I am continuing my role with the club on a more remote basis but remain committed in helping deliver long-term success for QPR.
“This is being achieved with the support of Michael Main, our Head of Performance Services, and a team I have worked closely with over a number of months.
“They are based at the training ground on a daily basis and implementing the key strategies which helped the club achieve such high player availability last season.”

This is blind panic from Nourry as he knows his job is on the line. He has set the club up this summer with his recruitment and his decision to allow the Head of Performance to work remotely in another Continent. It’s an absolute farce. This experiment of a lad on work experience has failed miserably. I was talking to the lads who sit around me at the last home game that when we go down this season then my seat will and experience will be the exact same as the last time in League 1 20 odd years ago! It shows how we have not moved on as a club despite these owners who have wasted million after million. I am trying to get my head round how bad the other candidates must have been who they interviewed alongside Nourry. We deserve what we get this season because it has been an utter shambles. We struggled for goals big time last season and somehow have managed to make our work force even weaker this season. And don’t start me on the absolute clowns like Celar, Madsen, Heverton who we have signed from Mickey Mouse teams in Mickey Mouse leagues. It has been an utter farce. Get Nourry out now whilst we can whilst he is still in his probationary year. The kid needs to do his work experience somewhere else. |  | | |

The great shame is that Dembele won't be seen until Halley's Comet next passes. He wasn't really up to speed but he showed a lot of promise. Without him and Chair it is always going to be difficult. |  |

Marti would only say if someone was available for the game the next day. On everyone else, there was either no update or “they’re making good progress”. The “making good progress” would wind me up. I should bloody hope so, I’d rather he said “unfortunately Frey isn’t making good progress, because Koki thought it would be a laugh to pull Frey’s chair away when he was about to sit down for lunch. Unfortunately that’s set back Frey a few weeks on getting fit and a few more months for fear of him killing Koki” | | | |

Well, he's instincts are pretty poor if he thought a wall of silence was the best way to run the place. Just because he's changed now after months doesn't really change the fact that he's so inept he thought it was a good idea in the first place.
It sits alongside other stupid ideas like the one where he's got enough knowledge and experience to do the DoF role. Would welcome a U-turn on that idea of his too. |  | | |

Dembele sums up recent times for me. It's gone unbelievably quickly from what a great signing, please secure him permanently, to what on earth happened to him and ooh that's a long-term injury.

I'm hoping this is a change of strategy for the long term but I am a bit skeptical of the timing ahead of a big game which we'll probably lose and you can certainly see the fans getting angry and going after the owners or ceo rather than the manager and players |  | | |
