First job I suspect they will do is sort pir centre halves contracts out, then get the attack sorted in January. Surely they know we aren't far off being a side that can challenge for the play offs. |
Maybe the players got wind of it before their last two excellent performances

Anyone who can scout the European and South American markets in a must. We are finally starting to see some good cheap players coming in . Much rather this than average championship players with high wages and no sell on value

🔴 New York Times: Swans investors agree to sell stake in club on 05:55 - Nov 8 by SullutaCreturned | What does he mean? To me it means that after sitting in the away end many times in his short term so far, listening to fans and hearing and seeing things at home games that he realised the fans felt Levein and Kaplan were a poisoned chalice that we wanted rid of. The falling crowds and obvious discontent stirred him to act and along with Morris and Cravatt has removed the previous owners and given us fans a bit of hope again. I've been a bit cynical about Coleman but fair do's, he moved his family over, he comes to ganes and yes, sits in the away end with us. I'm ready to put my cynicism to one side for the now and give him full support, lets see what he can do. At the very least I think he has learned things that the previous 2 never did. Hopefully he'll keep learning and we will see improvements all around. |
He is very very dedicated to the club. I know a certain business owner who chats with him a lot and he’s definitely in it for the long run. He must have been as frustrated as anyone with Kaplan and Levine

I have always been anti Coleman. I think it's time for a fresh start, let's see if he really was working with his hands tied or is he just a poor chairman. He gets my vote for the moment anyway if he has helped to get rid of Levien and Kaplan.

Don’t get me wrong this is his opportunity to start walking and stop talking. I’m hearing a new investor could be in before the end of December.

What does Coleman mean by "needing to move on from the previous owners"? I thought they were all friends? |
He is distancing himself from the unpopular owners. He will have made it when fans stop calling him and his mates "Yanks" .You will note the no one in Wrexham calls the joint owner Rob a "Yank".

They would be if their owners had turned Wrexham into a shell of the club it was when they took over. Levein and Kaplan are deeply unpopular because they took us from a semi established Premier League club with a category 1 academy to a club that can’t sign a fit for purpose striker because they are offering league one wages in the championship. Not because they are American. Tony Petty and Mike Lewis weren’t particularly popular either.

I have been one of those who have criticised Coleman from the outset, as seeming to be way out of his depth. However today I have a great respect for his fortitude and endeavour in pulling this rescue plan together (and to me it is foremost a rescue plan rather than an investment opportunity.) His patience and perseverance are to be much admired. One more thing - I think the fan base should push the £20m to one side for the moment, because more important than that is to get the overall vibe within the club and on the field back on an equilibrium. 25 years ago, I was in Mr Coleman's shoes and I know how important it is to build on a solid foundation that does not rely entirely on being fed bundles of money.

I’m still not certain. He’s ‘massaged’ the time he became chairman to paint himself in a better light and quite recently stated he didn’t know if the club was up for sale, before spearheading a takeover. If the purse strings are loosened a bit and he’s got a bit more room to manoeuvre, maybe he’ll impress. No doubt at all he’s had an arm tied behind his back as much as the manager. I’m very much in the wait and see camp at the moment. Doesn’t mean I’m not grateful to him for ridding the club of Leveins gang though.

In fairness he couldn't say too much about the sake could he....I suspect the negotiations have been somewhat delicate. Let's give him a chance shall we.....let's review it in 12.months

Well no, but in those circumstances, surely you don’t agree to have a chat? He was under no obligation. Unless I’m missing something and leaking that there was potentially something happening was a strategic decision? Yes, as I said I’m in the wait and see camp. He’s certainly gone up in my estimation, but I’m not getting overly excited yet.

The accuracy of that article, now the sale details are slowly emerging, can be viewed as a most impressive 'scoop' indeed. How many 'Red Top' papers would have wrenched your arm off to have been the first to report it? (If only little 'nowheresville' Welsh clubs mattered eh?) Our genuine thanks must also be provided to the insider source. Someone who may well have put his/her job on the line by releasing the information. Someone who was presumably disturbed by what financial and negative restrictions the club was facing, and so, wanted the news to be made public, to give hope to Swans fans that the "couldn't care less," absentee landlord mindset of Levien and Kaplan was at last, coming to an end. Congratulations again Keith and the splendid staff, it's really appreciated by the vast majority of us Jacks. [Post edited 8 Nov 9:13]
