All won 1 v 0 including beating Leeds last night. - They seem to be everything we are not - A team full of men who can put in very gritty performances with no wimps. They also don't play suicidal football out from the back because they know they aren't good enough.
They certainly don't have six number 10's and a powder puff midfield.

They nearly went down last season. Fluked staying up. Have won a few games this season, will lose a few games this season. Another basic Championship club the same as us really. They don't really even know what they want do they? Going from Rowett to a Chelsea academy coach and back to Neil Harris is surely a sign of that. I don't think they're anything we should be aspiring to, looking at them short term on a good run is a bit pointless really, none of us would have wanted to be them when they won 5 games up to Christmas or picked up 1 point from 9 games under Edwards. Agree we shouldn't be aspiring to be them but having a bit of Millwall grit, playing with 2 strikers (which would certainly help Celar) and putting some bloody crosses into the box would be a mega improvement on the tippy tappy slop I keep watching.

They are too far to the left, all brawn and industrial but hugely competitive without being good to watch, whilst we are too far to the right. All fancy dans with no heart or work ethic but equally shit to watch.
The ideal should be somewhere in the middle. You need to be tough to beat, but have some quality that can turn games in your favour.
Not rocket science needed to build a team for this division. Shame we seem completely incapable of getting the obvious anywhere near right. | | | |

The criticism I saw of Gallen in his 6 years of Charlton remaining in exactly the same place was the limited scope of his signings. Always decent loans but not much else | |

They’ve picked up a few decent players I’d have taken here over the summer
Stephen Gallen is learning on the job
He’d never get a role here under the current regime as the fall out with the family is well documented
Not saying I agree as I’d gladly take Joe, Steve and Kev back at the club in any capacity

I feel like it would be fantastic for QPR to be a basic championship team for a few seasons. In fact that basic ability to win some, draw some and lose some without the wheels coming off or finding out that the club is a clown car being driven by a clown would be all I'd ask for a good long while.
After all the optimism of Marti's rescue job last season, this season is so peak QPR again. I really feel for all the regular match goers.
Of course football fans should hope for big things, but hoping for small ordinary basic things is a good place to start. |  |
