The magic of the F A Cup has come around for another season and DC takes his charges to the Nigel Eady County Ground to do battle with Swindon Town. The Robins now managed by Ian Holloway are hoping for the new manager bounce.
However, even Holloway will struggle to get much out of the Robins this weekend and I reckon we can secure that elusive first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory.
Now the incentive is boosted by prize money of £41,000 to the First-Round Proper winners.
Our loanees Donnelly, McDonnell and Scully can all play, but Oscar Thorn is cup tied but we have recalled young striker Hakeem Sandah from M&T.
DC can also name up to 9 substitutes for the Cup so Matt Jay, still only 28 (he of the Advertisement – Carlsberg Customer Complaints Department – wrong number - clearly he has been languishing in that office for years).
Sadly Tovide, Bishop, Oni and Edwards are all injured.

Can’t really add much to what has already been said. A poor game between two poor sides brought to life by an excellent finish from Anderson. I honestly thought we’d hold on and nick it, but calamitous defending put paid to that. On balance though, the right result. So Holloway gets his new manager bounce, but I doubt he liked what he saw. Special mention for our 332 supporters, great turn out in an otherwise poor crowd, and we definitely didn’t like what we saw. |  |

In any other business, can you imagine paying good money for a manager who’s doing a shit job, then you find out he’s moonlighting on his days off. How would you feel?
Fair enough if we were top seven, but the piss poor job he is doing at the U’s, and he’s got a nice little earner on the side, instead of concentrating on sorting out his mess. It would take a lot of time and effort to arrange, prepare for, travel to and commentate on the match.

If DC plays this right tactically and our loanees like Donnelly and McDonnell give it their all we can secure the win. Hakeem Sandah is a good pick and with Thorn out its smart we brought him back. We will really have to count on Taylor to net that one goal.
