Absolute Madness 21:52 - Oct 19 with 3900 views | sandsofporto | Did not go today other things on. However have to say that there are now a lot of people saying Marti this and heads gone. What absolute total and utter nonsense. He got us out of absolute crap last year with a bang average team, we all lauded and applauded him then. I for one liked his honesty, some of his gameplans and his ability to change things. I trust him and i think we should all get behind him and the team. People were raving about how is the best thing for years and i still think this is the case. He is a good manager and we now need to get behind him. It is early days there us a long way to go. Very dissapointing result today but we do always play very badly against bad teams, this needs to be addressesd immediatly because that is the malaise that has set in. Eliminate that and build for the future. I for one would stick with Marti not only this season but for a few more to come. Come on Ursss

Absolute Madness on 22:20 - Oct 19 with 3712 views | Sharpediver | I admire your faith mate and even up until today I thought there might be a team in there somewhere, but today's lot were a ghost of the side that lost at home to Hull. There was a bit of fight in that game, this lot were soulless. I've been following Rangers for 45 years and seen some crap sides but today's lot made the 2001 boys look like Brazil! Marti saved us last year but on this showing he is taking us down next year. We need some steel in midfield and quick. Marti's made some extremely bad signings. Celar is terrible and Madsen displays the body language of a wallflower at a disco. Roll your sleeves up ffs and get stuck in you big long streak of piss! Dembele is a gem. What a goal and Michi Frey worked his socks off. Jimmy and Cook huffed and puffed and Nardi kept the score down. The rest were an embarrassment. Even Chair, although I'll give old skullcrusher the benefit of the doubt because he's been out for a while and maybe still a bit rusty. But, seriously, what has Marti been doing with them for the last 2 weeks ? [Post edited 19 Oct 23:23]

Absolute Madness on 22:41 - Oct 19 with 3554 views | Malintabuk | I'm sorry but not quite sure what planet the OP is on.... but it is not this one. Fuming... disgraceful... pathetic.... crass... are some of the adjectives to sum up today. There is absolutely no way Marti is going to get to Christmas let alone next year, if this is what he is serving up... God knows how much this is going to cost us to pay him up. This ranks as possibly in the top 5 of adject performances in my 60 years of torment, following this sh!te I really don't know where to start.... and most of it as been covered, but I'm totally fed up with this club now. I thought Hull was bad, this tops it by a mile... angry.... bloody right iam.... We wasted fcuking good money on some of this crap... guy behind me today he thinks Marti as lost the dressing room.... more like the Fcuking plot... Just thought of another one... talentless....
Absolute Madness on 22:58 - Oct 19 with 3442 views | Burnleyhoop | Easy to say when you didn’t even see the game. Pompey were pony and created very little, but we just keep handing the opposition the game time and time again through a combination of ineptitude and a lack of any structure or team discipline. It’s embarrassing to watch just how poor we are sometimes and if we can’t beat a team like Portsmouth at home, we are in serious trouble with this group of players. I’m genuinely struggling to see what Marti can do to turn this around. We will face far better teams than this over the coming weeks and we could easily be cut adrift at the bottom by the end of the month. Desperate times. Again.
Absolute Madness on 06:39 - Oct 20 with 3076 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | I've tried to be positive since the WBA game, but every week is just the same, yesterday broke the camels back for me. Sitting through that was soul destroying. It is a complete mess and I'm afraid that's on MC. I think he over complicated it at the beginning of the season with inverted full backs and false this and that, yet the players can't do it. He changed it yesterday but the confidence is shot. As soon as Portsmouth equalised it drained out of us. It was fcking horrible to watch, just long ball, midfield hiding, shambles defensively and no goal threat. I don't know how MC turns this around, but if he does it will be the second coming. Be thankful you missed it.
Absolute Madness on 06:43 - Oct 20 with 3062 views | BushRanger82 | If we can't beat Portsmouth at home, and not only that, but gift them their first win of the season, after a two week break, having lost our previous 3 games before the break, we are in as big of a shitfest, as we ever were under Ainsworth. Yesterday was as awful a performance, as any we saw under Ainsworth. Marti and the team had better buck their ideas up starting on Tuesday night against Coventry. Time has a dreadful knack of just flying away, in the Championship.

Not trying to defend anything or anyone here, but there definitely was a goal threat, especially in the first half. We should’ve been 3-0 before they equalised

That's how I saw the game, and players' performance, too. Madsen and Ashby in particular were doing my head in all game. I'm usually in the happy clapper camp and always try to be patient - with managers, results and new players. But now we're bottom of the table, continuing to be patient with this is really testing me. We're not beating anyone playing like that - "circling the drain" was in the OP of another thread, and that's exactly what was going through my head towards the end of that game. I know there were injuries, and we don't know exactly who has final say on signings, but the fact remains that we had nearly 2 weeks to get ready for that game - and we weren't ready. How is going to pick that lot up, and get them organized, to beat Coventry? Said to my little girl at the end of the game - exactly as I did after we lost to Blackburn at home to 4-0 with Ainsworth - that I'm not taking her again until I've seen a performance. It's rubbish to watch at the moment and we're not showing enough desire either, so hard to get enthusiastic about anything I see, except possibly for the odd Nardi save, the odd moment from Demebe, and Frey's workrate

But we weren't. And second half we had one attempt on goal, with a Saito header straight at the goalkeeper. Too many excuses, should of, could of, fine margins. I think he has lost the dressing room, no way would that lack of effort be tolerated else. The players look confused. At one point MC was pointing to Saito where to stand, I mean what the hell goes on on the training pitch?

That’s true we weren’t. All that counts is the final score obviously, and as said, I’m not trying to defend that. It was pony. But there was something of a goal threat. However, if professional footballers can’t hit the target from 10 yards then you have a problem. And we definitely do. I was double gutted as my daughter was a mascot yesterday, the club do a great job with that stuff and we’d had a brilliant day right up until Pompey equalized. From that moment on you just knew what was going to happen .

Absolute Madness on 08:35 - Oct 20 with 2629 views | ParkRoyalR | I've been sceptical on Cifuentes from the off for many reasons I previously posted not worth restating. We should have gone two goals ahead yesterday with Chairs easy chance or earlier chance Cook had, we didn't and terrible defending for the 1st (Fox & Cook) and the 2nd (Fox) gifted the poorest team in the Division a lead to defend, Where Cifuentes is rightly criticised is how poor we were in the last half hour, Madsen should have been hooked and Saito should have been playing 20 yards higher.
Absolute Madness on 11:07 - Oct 20 with 2242 views | hateley_legend | Is it too much of a leap to speculate that Marti had no say in who came in over the summer - it's all on Nourry and the performance tracksuits - and that Marti is disgruntled and not mentally or emotionally invested in the project/sinking ship?
Absolute Madness on 15:23 - Oct 20 with 1959 views | Burnleyhoop | Up until yesterday we had been in front during a game for a total of 8 minutes across nine games. We have at least moved the needle to 17 minutes. Across 10 games. Draw your own conclusions.
Absolute Madness on 16:11 - Oct 20 with 1807 views | Pdog | Confidence and Momentum. Both have been spiraling downwards since game 1. It's what turns an average team into relegation candidates / great escapees. The players (core form last season) are capable of better, we've seen it. The manager is capable of getting better out of them, we've seen that too. However the championship is unpredictable and competitive, if you fcuk around you'll get found out. I don't think we're a total lost cause (yet), we were much worse off last season. Things have got to change quick though.

Could be,but why did he just sign a new contract then? Not very professional if he is huffing about it now.
