Happy League 2024/25 Week 11 (of 38) - Deadline Saturday 19th October 12.30 00:05 - Oct 13 with 1682 views | mfb_cufc | Week 10 results CRAWLEY TOWN 3 SHREWSBURY TOWN 5 Doubles from John Marquis and George Lloyd helped Shrewsbury secure their second League One win of the season, as 10-man Crawley suffered a fifth successive league defeat for the first time in 19 months. Nobody got this spot-on, but 4 did have the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Crawley, with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was equally the weeks most predicted score. PETERBOROUGH UNITED 3 ROTHERHAM UNITED 3 Peterborough produced a fine comeback to come from 3-1 down to draw. Again nobody had this spot-on, and only gerry_us and Daniel got the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Peterborough, with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks other most predicted score. STOCKPORT COUNTY v WYCOMBE WANDERERS POSTPONED Due to Stockport having three players selected for International duty. BARROW 0 MORECAMBE 1 Morecambe snatched a dramatic first League Two win of the season thanks to in-form Ben Tollitt’s fifth goal this season. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, and only basher2010 and wessex_exile had the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Barrow. CHELTENHAM TOWN 2 SWINDON TOWN 3 Swindon survived a late scare, after being 3-0 up, to claim their first away success of the season. Well done to Blue4U2 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and another 5 had the outcome. HARROGATE TOWN 1 NEWPORT COUNTY 0 Harrogate ended a run of three games without victory in all competitions, thanks to goal from Toby Sims. A cool 4 had this spot-on, and a further 8 got the outcome. DI-SAS-TER. We lost the Stockport game after a late call from the BBC website, and most members probably wished the other 5 had been postponed as well, after a dreadful set of results lead to 7 members failing to trouble the scorers. With Harrogate responsible for 20 of the weeks mere 36 total points, not surprisingly this was the worst week of the season so far. The five 3 pointers were shared out, and it was mfb_cufc, who got the Harrogate 1-0, and the Shrewsbury and Swindon outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer, with a solid 5 points. Week 12 will now be a 7 game one to make up for the postponed game this week. In the Premier Just the Harrogate outcome for blueeagle, but on such a low scoring week, his lead was never going to be affected. In the context of the week basher2010 did well to have three outcomes, and move 2 points nearer the top. The top scoring effort from mfb_cufc moved him up a place to third. The only other upward move in this division came from Sector4, as he got the Harrogate 1-0 spot-on to move up three places, and out of the bottom three. He is replaced by concordman, who drops back there again. Things couldn't be closer though, with only 4 points separating those in the bottom half. In Division One Despite firing a blank, durham_exile remains top for the second week running, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from noah4x4, who moved up a place into the other automatic spot, after having the Harrogate 1-0 spot-on. The final member to get that Harrogate 1-0 spot-on was Madeira163, and by also having the Swindon outcome, moved up four places to third. With one point between them, bwildered and Tropical_Us drop to fourth and fifth, but only on the tie-beak rules. After getting that good Swindon 3-2 prediction, Blue4U2 moves up three places into the final play-off spot, but only on the tie-break rules from wessex_exile and Lewis_1. At the bottom, having the Swindon outcome was enough to get Jorash63 off the wooden spoon position. THE TABLES (67 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 11 Fixtures 10 games picked by this weeks guest wessex_exile. He has gone for a themed selection, in honour of our own Lyle ‘more clubs than Tiger Woods’ Taylor. Of the ten current members of the 92 that Lyle has played for, eight are playing on Saturday so their matches have been selected. To make up the remaining two, not counting non-league, Scottish and international appearances, Lyle has scored two hat-tricks in his English professional career. Those were for AFC Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic against Rotherham (who he nearly signed for) and Mansfield Town respectively, so Saturday’s games for those two will make up the ten matches to predict. Don't forget it is an early start with the deadline 12.30. WYCOMBE WANDERERS v PETERBOROUGH UNITED (12.30) MILLWALL v DERBY COUNTY CAMBRIDGE UNITED v WIGAN ATHLETIC CHARLTON ATHLETIC v STOCKPORT COUNTY LINCOLN CITY v BIRMINGHAM CITY MANSFIELD TOWN v STEVENAGE ROTHERHAM UNITED v WREXHAM COLCHESTER UNITED v CHELTENHAM TOWN NOTTS COUNTY v AFC WIMBLEDON AFC BOURNEMOUTH v ARSENAL (17.30) Good luck everybody. | |
