This with 'Mercy, Mercy Me' and 'Inner City Blues' are, for my money, a trilogy of such brilliant songs commentating on the social ills of that time which sadly, are still relevant today. His voice was incredible but on this track, he was simply sublime. To think, he had to convince Berry Gordy to release 'What's Going On' too.
