VAR and goalmouth scramble 07:56 - Sep 16 with 1221 viewsnumptydumpty

You just know it would have found a foul by QPR in there somewhere.

And almost inevitable even if Rangers had been left to score that goal, it would immediately have been looked at it and it would have been looking at multiple incidents, multiple times - probably a delay of ninety minutes to review.

If ever there was an advert against VAR, this is it !!!

Football needs these mad moments !!!

It brings fans in as opposed to the clever technology that simply destroys moments such as this !!!

What a goal !!!

And guarantees Afie Lloyd an entry into Forever R's !!!

Could not agree more Nump. It absolutely would have found a reason to chalk it off - largely because it was ugly. The whole point of football to the fan is to provide these brain bursting moments of delirium. Just let it happen.

I'm convinced the VAR people do their utmost to do everything they can to find a reason to disallow a goal.
There is so much money and so much pressure riding on games that it's almost as though wrongly disallowing a goal is not as bad as giving a goal that wasn't.

They'd still be arguing about it now. Monday, midday.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." Still amazed that the carnage that preceded the goal being scored was allowed to run its course. That would not have been the case in the sanitised premier league even if VAR weren't in place.
