Inducted into Forever Rs…he's called Micky these days.
One of the first players I can remember. Sadly he was a bit of a target for boo boys. OK he wasn't a world beater but had gumption.
Anyone else remember him - a lifetime ago admittedly.

I remember him and saw him play in the later part of the 50's.
From distant memory he played on the right side as a winger.

Well now I feel really ignorant.
Never knew he was a Hoop (100 games !) and I spent parts of my youth at Wealdstone questioning in song his mother's promiscuity. For me he was just another loser manager for that pile of doo-dah, Harrow Borough.
Apologies MT (and his Mum).

Yes, it was a long time ago - my dad used to give me a penny three farthings, so I could get a pint of mild and bitter on the way home.

Nice to see him recognised in his lifetime. He was apparently an electric winger for us in the 50s. I'm not sure he could do a job for us now at 91 though... However, if he was a right back...

Never knowingly right.

A little before my time. I would imagine he must be the oldest surviving Rangers player?
Lovely story though.

What a lovely article. It's great that our club acknowledge players of yesteryear, that few people have heard and even fewer remember playing. Excellent.

Yes I saw Mike play, had a funny hair style, but an honest
player.

I started going In 1958 so I'm guessing I must have seen him play, I can't remember bloody anything anymore.
I remember the tea hut In the corner of the loft though, and the enormous teapot.
Burgers hadn't been Invented back then.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Another player from when beer was tuppence a pint was centre forward Joe Cini. A Maltese international who sported a beard, very unusual then.
Anyone remember him ?

Didn't we have a longish discussion about this many years ago; or was that another Board?

Bingo! I've just remembered, one of my Brother in Laws dated his daughter, or it may have been his niece, back in the early / mid 90's.
Apologies if you read this MB darling, but you were a bit of a headache.

Edit, if you do read this, I'm the bloke who's house you stayed in when you came out to the States.
