I have looked at most other championship clubs and their players have come from Southend, Blackburn, Sheffield United, Milton Keynes Don's, QPR, Reading etc.

And quite ironic at where our players have been shifted out to.

Anyhow you get the picture of what I am saying.

Appreciate a lot of what our recruitment is based on data analysis etc and we certainly have thrown our net out as far and wide as can be.

Some maybe Cifuentes recommendations, some Belks, guessing Nourry also, and it seems we have been at the very least very inventive, but so many players that really have zero experience of our leagues and also all young players and whether data can incorporate whether they settle in a foreign land such as ours also.

Would have imagined half our signings would have perhaps been premiership loans or signings from other EFL clubs, but for all of our signings to have exactly the same model ie young and basically from anywhere in the world, it seems quite risky.

And the fact all our outgoings have been sideways within the championship or to lower EFL or National League clubs or Scotland. Appreciate we would wish a few could be to higher ranked clubs but also we clearly not had any players that clubs from abroad have had any interest in either.

My own personal view would have to have had at least two or three from the English leagues. Ie no guarantees they will settle or perform in our leagues and enjoy living in London.

I can't see any other championship club that has done this.

I am hopeful but it seems an untried strategy.

I guess watch this space.

To be fair we have kept most of our core squad with Championship experience. If Cifuentes caym get the blend right then it's an exciting tactic.

It is a big shift from Ainsworth's summer....that's for sure.

People have been joking about the fact that all of the players are from a different country to the one we signed them from. I guess in analytical terms they have proven that they can perform in a foreign country and don't get homesick etc.

I don't think we can afford high quality championship players from our competitors and buying from League 1 isn't guaranteed either, so it's a reasonable approach.

Ensure the "has played abroad" filter is selected to show only players with experience in foreign leagues.

If not next then definitely the season after, I fully expect QPR to be involved in the main European competitions.

Consequently it will be good to have contacts in those cities/areas, as the squad can maybe couch surf with friends/family of the players we've brought into the project, thus saving more money.

Nourryspeak is a 'kin genius!
