An 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman have been stabbed in London's Leicester Square.
The Metropolitan Police said they have been taken to hospital but their condition is not yet known.
A man has been arrested and is in custody.
The Met Police said in a statement posted on X: "We don't believe there are any outstanding suspects."

The people of Stratford loved the bikers being there because they brought a lot of trade to the town . They were sorry to see it closed down , that tells you a lot.

Interesting. But the Huff post has also used the wrong figure for crowds at Glastonbury. They use 200,000. That's the permitted number of people allowed to be on site and includes all artists and staff.

Other Goggle searches suggest between 200,000 and 210,000. The tickets sales exclude the 5000 places allocated to local people and the staff and support workers.
So this means the arrest rate (35 in 2023) is 175 per million. So I apologise for my mistake, but do still suggest that the pattern of offences is different.
The Google search suggests that the permitted number on site per day is 210,000.
The other question would be: are the one million per day in Notting Hill roughly the same million (as may be the case with attendees over the 5 days of Glastonbury) or a different million suggesting a total of 2 million? [Post edited 27 Aug 16:31]
