Toyed with this idea last season. Shall we have a thread to discuss, comment on, cover the rest of the league? A place to discuss other teams’ results, performances, financial implosions, etc?

For example, last night, anyone catch either of the first two games? I didn’t. But somewhat surprised/worried Blackburn scored 4 given how they are meant to struggle. Was it Derby being utter sh*te?

Sounds like Preston are continuing in the same vein of being incredibly dull.

Clive, what do you think? Worth making a sticky? Might reduce the number of threads to manage.

Teams in the bottom half that played either only drew or lost.

So, a draw takes us 14th and a win on Monday and we are top of the bottom half, in 13th.

And if we are 13th, next three games away to the bottom two and then home to Sheffield Wednesday,

Never predict !!!

Yep today's results couldn't realistically gone too much better for us. Assuming we can get that win on Monday, which is far from a given obvs.

Poll: Kitchen threads or polls?

Never predict…but it is reasonable to say that this month is our season.

IF we have a very good month, we will be looking up not down. We’ll have a lovely run in to May with faint hopes of sneaking a play off spot.

If we have a very bad month, we will be in the thick of a relegation battle.

Turn it in mentioning the Play Offs mate!!!

My yardstick is to always have 10 to 12 points as a buffer zone to be “almost relaxed” at this level. The three game weeks mean the change is rapid.

A win on Monday would be massive and wins against five of those below us next couple of months would be stuff of dreams.
Always wary of things like Dull City scoring 3 against Leeds and the fact that Rotherham stayed up one year from a position of being nothing but a carcass and Birmingham and others have dropped from being comfortably 12th in January

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I’m not L Block. But if we won all our games in Jan, which isn’t impossible, we’ve be very comfortably mid table. At that point, people would start dreaming. That’s all.

I’m more worried we lose to Luton, Hull, and Plymouth and we are suddenly bottom 3 again!

As we approach HT in today’s fixtures I am amazed that Oxford currently sit above us in the table.

This is why another thread on here about teams who will be in the scrap brought me out in hives.
We are a million miles (or 8 wins) from being safe or being able to pass judgement on other teams.

Not a particularly brilliant set of other results for us at moment

Do think anybody thinks we are safe do they? Think its more that we have gone from having a high probability of dropping to a good probability of surviving.

For what it's worth over here the bookies have us at odds which imply a 15% probability of relegation. But they've only listed 8 teams you can bet on. I might have our odds a little more likely than that personally (and we know bookies aren't always right) but being one of 8
10 teams and on the lower end of probability of those teams feels about right?

Beware of the teams fighting relegation. The top 6 are playing for promotion, the bottom 6 teams are fighting for their lives.

Strong and stable my arse.

My hope for this season is to be mathematically safe one or two games before we're mathematically not making the playoffs.

Especially as they have lost their last nine away matches - the longest losing streak in the top four tiers ( courtesy BBC Sport).. Of course that's the time to meet Charity Park Rangers...

I keep thinking Luton have to be better than their league position suggests. Hopefully they don't show that on Monday.
