Obviously I defer to Marti's knowledge but I'm surprised Cannon hasn't been tried in somewhere other than being on the bench as RB sub.
He wasn't match fit when he played early in the season but looked pretty good.
We've been barrel-scraping for options lately and I seem to recall talk of him being OK in other positions.

No wonder he’s been out of sorts. Slapped with a big one.

Imagine with Hevertton that Reggie is destined for a loan, unless he finds a loan shark then all bets off the table

It's all very strange. Presumably Boavista could have just kept hold of Cannon's registration.
I wonder if QPR said they would pay any fine the court deemed necessary?

Didn't even make the bench today.

I reckon he's put a bit of slap on, been to the barbers, and changed his name to Hevertton.

Ridiculous decision if they did

I look forward to the club issuing some statement.

What I don't understand with the Cannon position, is how we were allowed to sign him in the first place. Surely his registration was approved by the EFL & the FA with international clearance being obtained.

Perhaps this was all approved subject to the court hearing?

On the other hand, it might be possible that he will not be allowed to play for any club now until he has paid Boavista in full. Whether that would invalidate his contract I've no idea.

Several clubs (Bournemouth, Fulham, Burnley) were keen on him last summer but after Boavista landed their legal file on them decided it wasn't worth it. QPR went for it, and I believe one of the reasons the signing was delayed for a period of time was we were sorting out a sort of 'indemnity insurance' policy to cover this eventuality. So hopefully we got that.

This is interesting, and Thanjs Terry for adding in what I wanted to say. Hopefully it gets sorted, and he can get to playing again. This thread begs a few more questions including whether he CAN be an asset at RB. The next is what is the likelihood that his contract is voided.

Not a problem. I believe its filed in the Paladini draw and if not, then it'll be there Tuesday

If it's anything like the one about Chair, and given the current PR drive, I'd anticipate 'Reggie Cannon has left the building (under a face covering). Nothing to see here!'

From memory I thought that after some delay, both his registration with us and International clearance were both reportedly obtained, and he was able to play games for us. Maybe my memory is failing me, but if not I don't understand how QPR can be liable because only now almost a year on has a court ruled in favour of Boavista.

I sorta mentioned Reggie was a bit flakey when we signed him. His problems are not contained to ability or physical injury.

A loose cannon?
