Some bloke on Twitter (yeah I know) is claiming that Sincs is leaving us and has removed all QPR pics and now closed his account. I was following him so I checked and yes, his account is completely gone. Anyone know what the hell is going on at our club?

I think when 90% of teams only play one striker it‘s unrealistic to expect 20 goals a season any more.

You are looking at Drogba territory if you want someone who writes the theme tune / sings the theme tune.

Someone like Sinclair or even Dykes for that matter should be causing chaos for the midfield / wide players to pounce on, which I think they were both capable of on their good days.

Just wasn’t enough good days for me.

Agreed, the posts on here are so bizarre. Watched the end of the second half and he was very threatening

Why do we have to pretend like he was not good for us and that most qpr fans sang out his name when he was on the pitch last year? Did everyone forget that he was consistently one of the hardest working players in the squad?

Why are we also acting like he left when we’re the ones who sold him?

The people on here rooting for him to do poorly seem to also forget he has a sell on clause. Qpr fans should hope he does well …..

I don’t rly get why fans are watching his matches and rooting for him to fail as if they’re the ones who personally have to justify the decision to sell him

Just highlights the fickleness and irrationality of fans and why I also support players acting in their own interests. Imagine playing as hard as he did and having so called supporters rooting against him 6 months later

Fair points, but I am pretty sure we only sold him because he refused to sign a new contract? So you could argue he didn't really show us much loyalty, so why should we continue to support him?

And yes, of course, players need their independence and fans are fickle. But as a QPR fan, aside from the sell on, I now don't particularly want him to turn into a top striker. Isn't that natural?

Even when playing for us. many thought he was rubbish. I didn't - I was gutted when he left and I still believe he will come good one day. I don't know how anyone could genuinely watch his appearance yesterday and not think that he looked very dangerous indeed. But - he did do that for us, flattered to deceive.

He was a cult hero rather than a good player (on average, some games better than others of course). Don’t hate nor miss him now. It is what it is. Whether or not it works out for him in Bristol there will always be a club willing to take a punt on someone like him.

We plebs know little about what happens inside the club and sport but I got the impression he and his ‘team’ fancied their chances of getting something a lot better for him than what we were offering, didn’t and ended up getting what was available in probably a reasonable sign-on fee and a few grand more a week. Good luck to him because I’m not confident there’ll be a bigger contract waiting for him next time.

This. Me, I just never rated him.

I can't remember which game it was last season, but we were desperately hanging on to a lead, and he did the hard bit of getting the ball down to the corner to work the clock down. Then, for some inexplicable reason, he turned the defender and just walloped it for what must have been a goal attempt, from the corner/byline, as there was no team mate in the box. The ball just sailed away from the goal to the other side of the pitch and back to the opposition.

What was going on in that head of his, I can't say, but aside of that pace, I am sure savvy defenders don't worry too much about playing against him. Anyway, good luck to him and if we did get £2.5m for him, then I'm happy with that.

Think the Sincs deal was good for everyone really.
We got somer cash and they got a player with bags of potential but with a lot of work to do.

I don't think he is a central striker (yet). For me he is a wide forward using his frightening physicality to cause mayhem and leaving the finishing to the deadlier players.

WOuldn't write him off just yet. Look at how Smyth has improved this season to last

I don't think Lloyd is a better player personally, both him and Sincs did their best work causing chaos against tiring defenders, missed a hatfull of chances and looked generally raw but with potential. Alfie's agent is definitely a ton better at PR though! That said, Alfie is ours so that's the important thing for me for now. Bristol City fan I know is a big fan of sincs and I personally hope he kicks on just for the sell on!

Thank you mate

Put far better than me and it makes me so frustrated people trying to justify what they have previously said.

Don't think Alfie is better than Sinclair atm but he is improving and hopefully continues to do so. Would take Sinclair over Celar any day. The flaws in his game are still obvious though at Bristol City.

I not seen any posts that are against Sinclair in anyways tbf.

Myself personally, he was a trier, most definitely, and was sad to see him go, but from a footballing perspective, his qualities matched up against the fee, would have taken the money myself, like QPR did.

But just because my view was his all round game was never quite up to standard, just felt he did flatter to deceive when with ourselves, definitely do wish him well though, of course.

He hasn't done much as yet at Bristol either, but contrary to what you are saying, I would hope for the man himself, he does get to where he wants to be in football.

It's not happened as yet and may never, but obviously all players have the opportunity to improve and no one be happier for the guy than most on here, so not sure where you are getting the "We all want him to fail " ideas.

Obviously when he plays ourselves, hopefully has a stinker, but any other time, all well and good for him to develop and mature as a player.

At QPR, we could see the raw potential and he almost showed Les Ferdinand type potential but unfortunately it always remained at that level, he ran out of steam often and didn't present much in the ways of goals and assists either.

That's not being harsh. It's fact.

We definitely got a touch with the transfer fee, if correct, and like I would say nearly all on here, wish him well and hope things get better for him.

But if you take that as an anti Sinclair post QPR comment, that's entirely your choice. Think that's more your interpretation as opposed to what fans wish for the guy.

There is definitely a player there and of course he is only 21. The problem is I don't feel that he has ever really been 1-2-1 coached by someone like Les and perhaps he just doesn't have the in game awareness he should. I'd like to see him do well. He seemed like a good lad but I do fear without that 1-2-1 coaching that he may just be stuck not being the player he could be. We'll see.

I think Kolli and Lloyd have more potential as they seem to have a lot more of an in game brain. Lloyd's 'chaos' is a lot more considered than Armstrong's was.

Never knowingly right.

A somewhat limited player, which is why he's still an understudy to a 43 year old Nahki Wells.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?
