Honestly, never liked them when I was a kid, in fact, I probably never touched one for 30 years. Then, I got a hankering, bought some, in a box, tried 'em, y'know, they weren't bad. Now I have a half dozen every year, not that I'm arsed to bake myself, but a packet of Walkers mince pies / tarts, goes down rather well.
