Are they greedy or just plain thick ? 18:20 - Dec 10 with 5732 views | builthjack | Preston at home Friday 22nd Dec, 7.45pm Under 12s for a quid. But U18s are £13 plus fees. Just effing do it at a quid for all U18s. Coleman, do you care at all. I don’t think so. He is on big bucks whilst some Swans fans/ parents are on £10 or so per hour.

Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 19:06 - Dec 10 with 3720 views | majorraglan | Pricing structure seems a bit odd, kids under 12 is £1 but under 18s who are still kids and who generally not working are being asked to pay a lot more. A fiver for the older kids could have been a decent compromise.
Are they greedy or just plain thick ? on 19:15 - Dec 10 with 3700 views | ReslovenSwan1 | It does not matter the pricing. In the end the fans will not be happy. When Levien bought all the fans lunch at Sunderland a few years back some fan whinged it did not include a pint.

It matters a lot to families, especially the ones with kids 12and over. The Sunderland trip, you could use the voucher for a pint. The players paid for the match tickets. [Post edited 10 Dec 2023 21:39]

there is a cost of living crisis and Christmas is two weeks away. A bit of common sense from the club would not go a miss. Afterall there are many well paid executives who are responsible for this very inconsistent pricing scheme. I expect prices will drop in February once the gates fall further.

You supporting the yanks , no surprise there .How about trying to take a balanced view before jumping in . The Club is losing revenue each home game , a £ 1 spent at the Club by someone buying a £1 ticket is a pound gained, and empty £13 seat is a £1 lost

I do not use the word 'Yanks' ever. Imagine you going to America and get called 'Limey' every day. You do not call them 'Yanks' because you like them. I take a balanced view £1 is about as cheap as it can be. It makes no difference what they do or say. For you and your chums it is not enough. 'Once a Yank always a Yank'. Why not 50p or 25p for the empty seats?. Fans are clueless about money That is why the Trust run by fans is useless. German Trusts work well. German fans are just smarter. A lot smarter.

In addition to the £1 admission, the club could easily generate further revenue through merchandise sales or food and drink sales. Got to be worth giving it a shot and comparing the revenue streams post match.

" I do not use the word 'Yanks' ever. " for some one who purports to be an adult I find it funny to see you throw a hissy fit every time someone calls the owners YANKS , in this time of cost costing I thought instead of using 8 letters to describe them I'd use 5. If in America I was to be called a Limey I wouldn't be screaming to the nearest Police Commissioner unlike I suspect yourself, We differ in many ways , two of them being I have thicker skin and not offended by words and secondly I support the Club unlike your self who'd rather support the yanks ( oopps I said it again) You are wrong when you said once a yank etc , I was referring to this particular set of yanks , how many is it now ?

Kids for a quid is always a good investment, maybe families in receipt of benefits as part of community goodwill. But the easiest way is fill the ground is to produce a decent product and try and entertain.

This is true. A former boxing coach chum of mine was in NYC at Dempsey Restaurant in early 70s Waitress asked them about their ( scouse) accent and they were served their steaks . Half way through ,they note a grizzled older chap walking towards their table who then pulls up a chair and says,” You buying me a drink or what ,LIMEY “ . It’s the great man himself who was well into his 70 s. He spent 10 mins with them and he went to his grave comforted in the knowledge he had spent time with the Manassa Mauler . Limey is nothing but a term of affection .

I understand some may feel aggrieved at someone who may end up sitting next to someone who's paid full price etc, but personally it wouldn't bother me .I'm fortunate that I can afford to go to home games , many can't due to circumstances . IMO the Club haven't really helped themselves in providing cheaper opportunities to allow the poorer in our community to watch matches . There are many quotations in the media about people deciding whether to eat or heat , I've not seen one including ,attend and starve for the day .

It is engaging is ethnic slurs that is why. Some races would kill you for such a slur. Welsh fans were locked up in Armenia "for nothing". Could it be they were singing song that the Armenians found offensive? You are British not Welsh why should you be offended. I am offended at all porno ethnic slurs to anyone including black players and Asians. The world is changing 1970s slurs still exist in Wales. The last bastion for racist scum. I have seen it close up an personal in mixed company including children and it is not nice.

The N word is either racist or it is not. I do not see why certain words are racist like the abbreviation of 'Pakistan' or the description of a man from China. There is not much difference in the appropriate phrase "coloured person " and "person of colour" as far as i can see . It has long cultural implication of the British empire and exploitation. If use in rap or hip hop music it may be considered as vague sort of 'art form' or 'form of expression for a oppressed people'. UK authorities cut a lot of slack for "artists". Welsh sheep humour is at another level. All working people were exploited in those days including the Welsh miners and their children. If you look at the causality risks from the great Welsh mining disasters usually one of the dead would be children as young as 6. The Welsh have been house trained not to take offence at ethnic slurs which are illegal and have seen prosecutions. The British Darts people and Skysports brushed it under the carpet after Gerwyn Price was brutally targeted by drunk darts fans bringing his young family to tears. People on this forum gave him no backing as they know their place in the British hierarchy . In their view English drunks have a right to intimidate and humiliate Welsh families with porno ethnic slurs. This is unacceptable to me. Swansea fans because they are not self conscious chose to engage in prono racisl slurs rather than report it. People of a Unionist mentality do not see themselves as proud Welshmen so do not take offence. Any insult to the English is immediately squashed (quite righty) . This is happily very rare. Remember the club has stated there is a "zero tolerance policy". It is not true. It is about social development and progress. I have seen the fathers of the current fan base ruthlessly taunt black player in the 1970 and 1980s. It was "fair game" to put these players off they game. They all deny it now of course. I was there and saw it. I myself have developed with age. I do not even remember if i was offended.
