I just logged onto my SportsBet account to see what price we are for a top six finish (I know, I know...).
Every other team in the league has a price against them apart from Rangers...betting suspended. Have we struck that much fear into the competition/bookies that they won't even offer a price?

I felt 28 to 1 and 40 to 1 was a decent bet to get top half but its at a more realistic price now ie 12 to 1 but definitely feel got some value and not beyond the realms of possibilities ie around 40 points from 27 matches required.
I don't expect it though but hopefully we can give the bet at very least an outsiders value chance.
Top six is way beyond us and as said previously we need to perform for the rest of the season like a title winning outfit to achieve that.
If we started to do that by some kind of divine intervention then I would be putting aside a little wedge of dosh for promotion next year.
But am realistic about it, its a far outsiders punching chance. Its not beyond miraculous. But far enough away to have a fancy flutter !!! [Post edited 6 Dec 2023 17:27]

FWIW, I think the target is still what it was at the start of the season, i.e. finish outside the bottom three.
Where we now have an advantage is having a coach who is capable of helping us to achieve that, whilst having the opportunity to have a good look at what we have and what he will need to improve us next season.

Do I really think we'll finish top six...? Well, probably not, but I was checking the odds as I was enjoying the experience of optimism in relation to our prospects for the first time in a long time.
I was actually more surprised that SportsBet don't have a price for us to do it, while they do every other side in the Championship - I just checked again and they still don't.
I wonder why?

Very funny thread! It must be that everyone is so desperate for a bit of success that at the first sign and anything at all decent from Rangers they get carried away.
