Paul Smyth came on for NI in the 78th minute of NI's game v Denmark in Belfast on Monday evening, with NI 1-0 up. Replaced the goalscorer, Isaac Price (ex-Everton 19 y.o., now at Standard Liege). NI went 2-0 up a couple of minutes later. Tbh, PS didn't do a great deal, but by then NI were defending concerted Danish pressure, very comfortably as it happens, so it wasn't really his sort of game. Interesting trivia: 1. When PS scored against San Marino last month, it marked 2,030 days between his first and second international goals for his country; 2. NI have never lost any of the 14 games they have played when a QPR player has scored for them - 11 wins and 3 draws. (Well I think it's interesting, anyhow.) | |
