Cifuentes for me has impacted already on this squad
And the change around in tactics is like night and day. Admittedly not won as yet but the style is already way more watchable than under Ainsworth. Not saying that will change things overnight for some players but he definitely won't hang them out to dry, like Ainsworth did.
Was pleased with Willocks efforts yesterday and him and Chair together, hopefully their link up play improves the whole team, but so obvious we very much lack any form of goalscorers up top or anywhere else.
But everything else about Marti's first couple of games has been encouraging.
Decent transfer window with couple players with composure and quality on the ball and a threat in the box and the team is transformed.
Perhaps his Scandinavian links could hunt out a very low priced gem. Its the missing link very much required but ever elusive for us it seems...
This guy hasn’t put a foot wrong so far. The difference between him and GA is night and day.
No, he hasn’t won yet but he isn’t a magician. This bunch are damaged goods and not a great team with zero goals in it . It is going to take time which of course is worrying because we need to catch up quick. He can make us into the best passing team in the world but if players on the pitch dint start stepping up and taking responsibility and putting the ball in the net we will go down. He just can’t magic a goal scorer from the players available. I hope that our support base sticks by him even if we do go down as I believe that we could have a very talented and very ‘real’ coach on our hands
