QPR's traditional cup cloud comes with some silver linings - Report on 00:33 - Aug 18 with 2556 views | CLAREMAN1995 | Excellent work very happy to see you found the new blood exciting to watch and cruel it did not go to penalties like you said. Pretty upset that Dykes got injured he is critical to our season and any absence would really hurt .Maybe there is some veteran striker waiting for an offer that we can afford unless GA thinks the kids are allright
QPR's traditional cup cloud comes with some silver linings - Report on 07:12 - Aug 18 with 2362 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Spot on about ignoring the B/U23s or whatever they are called and going to the U18s. Teddy Lawrence is another in that team who looks quite useful. A glimmer of hope. Hopefully GA pushes them on and this season we see a couple break through for regular first team appearances.

Are these by any chance the same people that think Field should be sold because he has no 'aura'?

Don't set me off again. I abandoned my 'only for jokes and links' Twitter policy on Wednesday to get involved after "EDB" was praised for having fantastic "pausa" and immediately regretted it. Dixon-Bonner, incidentally, for all the good he undoubtedly did, attempted 30 passes on Wednesday and just shy of 40% of those went to a Norwich player.

Ahhh, I've seen it recently alright on twitter feeds, though not by that name. There's nothing new in football, as my mate says, just new words. When we were learning, our coaches used to call this 'drawing the man'.

To be fair to Dixon-Bonner, the passing stats might be slightly misleading as he was generally looking to pass the ball forward and not always taking the easy option of a backward or sideways pass. I thought it was a fairly impressive debut but plenty of room for improvement much like the other youngsters. But the only way they’ll improve is more first team football.

Yeh I thought he was decent don't get me wrong. I'd definitely have him involved. We need some players from that batch to be able to step up and do us a dozen games and he looks like one potentially who could do that, and the more he plays the more comfortably and effective you think he'd get. However, he's one of a couple of players that gets hyped by a few vocal Twitter accounts way beyond what he is - a 22 year old, shortly to be 23, who's never played any football for anybody. Set expectations low and be pleasantly surprised, rather than hyping players from our distinctly mediocre B Team as "cooking" or being a "baller" or showing great "pausa" or whatever hipster term it is now. Fact is, like I say, 30 passes on Wednesday, gave 40% of them away. The only outfield players on the pitch who posted worse numbers with the ball were Dykes and Idah (because they're lone strikers flicking stuff on) and Adomah (who was fcking crap again). Every single outfield Norwich player completed passes at 80% or above, and they did a fair bit of playing forwards themselves. We also lost the game, 1-0, to a midtable Championship side. The way some were carrying on you'd think it was some backs to the wall hero effort at home to an Arsenal-type. I was generally impressed with him, looks like he could be very useful, nothing against him at all, looking forward to maybe seeing more this Saturday. But I think hyping boys like that can be counter productive, and the football hipster language is just fingers on a blackboard for me.

Yeh muted that one a long time ago. Hates Field and Dunne, thinks Dozzell and "EDB" are brilliant.
