I am sure there is a rational answer but I'm struggling to see how Cardiff are adding players left right and centre, including Aaron Ramsey but are also paying out 11 million euros that they owe on the tragic debacle that was the Sala signing?
"The BBC has been told that Fifa has told the Championship club to pay more than €11m (£9.45m). That covers the last two instalments of the €17m agreed between the clubs."
I know Ramsey is on a massive pay cut but he's still apparently going to be on around £25K a week for two years. They are also paying a lot more wages on new players than most other sides in the division. Are they still on parachute payments or am I missing something? [Post edited 17 Jul 2023 9:59]

They also have a relatively unknown Turkish manager that ranked higher than Ainsworth in the second tier podcast of best and worst manager of the championship without even managing a game in the championship (I get it that the criteria is a manager you want at your club, but still). |  |

I wonder as well whether the Sala fee would have been accounted for in their premier League season. Obviously the argument over it is still ongoing but not sure if that would mean they hadn't accounted for it back then but withheld payment.
They must have known they were likely to be relegated by the time they did the accounts and probably tried to shift expenses to that season as much as possible to avoid it coming under FFP? |  | | |

Yeah I read that as well it would be interesting to know what is their 3 year rolling figure status, giving out wages of 25k a week is not very sustainable for most teams , although they did say Ramsey's signing had increased season ticket sales, which indicates they will be getting increased revenue, would be too much to hope that they are going down the Derby and Reading route. | | | |

The embargo says they can't pay a fee. So assume they are paying all of Grant's wages, as WBA seem to want him off the FFP costs.
It's ridiculous that this embargo can be circumvented by paying high wages to him as well as Ramsey. | | | |
