Who did you look up to... on 21:48 - Jun 7 with 759 views | HAYESBOY | My Dad, who passed away in May 2021. He had it tough as a kid. He was one of 7 kids living in a two wheeler caravan with my Nan and Grandad, who worked at Heathrow in the late 40's. Really poor. My Grandad then was nearly fatally killed in an accident onsite and he couldn't handle it and was admitted into a mental facility. Later killed by a fellow patient. This meant that the kids were all put into a kids home in Twickenham. My Dad was around 8 years old. My Nan later remarried and she could then get the kids back. Dad was about 13 then. Always worked whatever hrs he could through the years and was always there for football and athletic meets when I was a kid. Always put Mum and me first. If Westbourne R sees, this he was the one that used to run the line for Park Lane. He suffered a heart attack when he was 56 (big smoker). Carried on working until his health/heart wouldn't let him. In 2017 he was really ill and basically had an infection in his spinal chord. Eventually ended up at Stanmore spinal injury unit. He had to lay on his back for 2 months and not move while anti biotics were pumped into him. He could not have an op as he had a ICD fitted after his heart attack. How he did that I do not know without going mad. Never complained. He then had to learn to walk again at aged 77. Just a hero to me and I miss him everyday.

Who did you look up to... on 08:53 - Jun 8 with 555 views | Bluce_Ree | My music teacher in school was great. He encouraged us to learn about music, he got us playing live shows in reception and whatever. He was super talented too. He even took some of us to a gig (f**king Marillion but whatever). He was sound. Then I went to college and the teacher there wasn't as good but, oddly, she f**ked the rhythm guitarist in my band and had to leave the job. They had a kid and everything. Blimey.
