Doesn't exactly make up for the rest of the performances but I thought Ozzy actually did play quite well in the second half, wouldn't have taken much to improve on Laird's first half but he did a good job getting the ball forwards and put some decent crosses in

I've been his harshest critic but at least he did show for the ball tonight more than he's done in recent games. He'll be fine in L1 ;-)

and that's it... always showing for the ball from behind an opposition player or too deep.. Iroegbunam just coasts... god we long for a Buzsaky type, look for the ball and play forward or have a go at the erfkin faarkin goal. Put the Dixon-Bonner lad on to have a go...

ok , watched the game on sky, all this possession footy can be nice if there is an end product, we rarely do that, teams sit back and wait their chance, usually take it then we are chasing the game and it can go from bad to worse.i felt players at 1-0 were losing control and it looked like field would see red. a heap of yellows wont help later.
1 win in 16 games is a third of the season and is bow lox , we are in free fall. new signing or not, if i am the striker i grab that ball and take the penalty.

I thought Dozzell was one of the few actually trying tonight, still too many mistakes though.

I respectfully disagree. I thought he was Man of the match for.. Sunderland. The amount of times he gave the ball away in dangerous areas was bordering on criminal.

Just want add three more points about tonight that really annoyed me…

1: The crappy poem they play before the match. Completely the wrong tone and thoroughly uninspiring, to the point it’s actually a bit embarrassing.

2: The crappy music they play after the match.

3: Not being allowed to drink a beer on South Africa Road.

Really not much going for the club at the moment.

Chairs dead balls are awful from corners to free kicks to know penalties. Let someone else take over this duty.

There can be no doubt now, that our team have a major mentality problem.

The first 20/25 minutes we were bar far the better side. We were positive, attacking, closing down fast, pressing high, with some really nice one touch passes, everything moving quickly. Alright, all of that didn’t yield much in the way of goal scoring opportunities, but it was nonetheless positive stuff… for a minute, I was hopeful, believing that this was going to be THE game where we knit it all together and get the win and some of our belief back.

Then, Dunne made an error and was (again) caught the wrong side of his man. That was it, that’s all it took - Sunderland won the game there and then. After that we retreated, stopped pressing, got nervous and we blew it.

I think we all knew Chair wasn’t going to score.

I honestly don’t want to see NC sacked, I really do think he’s inherited a freak show. Beale leaving, whether you agree it should or not, has decimated this team. It’s fractured, devoid of confidence, and feeling sorry for itself. That’s this season’s narrative anyway. However, he can’t be held accountable for the past few years of our annual self-destruction. This club is rotten. Ultimately, I hate to see it go the way it’s going to go - NC’s sacking feels inevitable now, sadly, and the merry-go-round will once again begin turning and twisting the knife.

The plan isn’t/hasn’t worked. A selling club with nothing to sell. A youth development program that hasn’t developed much beyond the football equivalent of acne - you see it, you feel sorry for poor bastard that’s got it, and yet you know there’s nothing but heartache and disappointment for the next few years.

Something has to change. It won’t be quick and painless, like ripping off a plaster - and it shouldn’t be either, we wouldn’t heal properly- it needs to be a slow, steady - but painstakingly thorough rehabilitation. I’m calling it - the time is 23:15, this team, under this regime, is dead.

Many people, as you say, are not kind to me for many reasons, the main one being that they're not kind people (or my kind of people).

You're right, though, some kind of rot had set in after Beale courted/talked to/didn't talk to and then turned down Wolves.

As for what Critchley can/should now do, shouldn't you be asking him?

You're also right. It is Critchley's problem.
And I would ask him if I was at his press conference or interviewing him.
But the point is can anyone replace Critchley and keep us in the Championship with 14 games left.
As many have pointed out who would want the job anyway and who could do some miracle work in such a short time. It's unlikely but you never know.
As said in my earlier thread to which you replied - we have hope and that's cos we're 10 points clear although we have played two more games than the three at the bottom.
And on that basis if Critchley keeps us up - then great.
If not then the summer is going to be interesting with Critchley building his own squad whether we are in the Championship or League 1.
Remember Warbs did a turnover of two squads to cut the wage bill.
The one thing that you and all of us can agree on is - it's a bloody mess.

Ferdinand and Hoos should be first out. If it was my money keeping the club going I'd have messaged them both after this evevenins game and asked to see them both at 8am tomorrow morning at the ground to interrogate them as to how it's come to this. If the answers weren't satisfactory (and let's face it, there probably aren't any satisfactory answers) I'd sack them both there and then and start a process of replacing them both by 1st June 2023.

Doesn't matter though - absolutely no manager that's ever worked in football or any other field would be able to get a tune out of this utterly gutless mob of players we're currently blessed with

Realistically QPR only need another 6-9 points from the remaining 14 fixtures to be assured of survival. If they bin the loans and stop entrusting the midfield general role to Dozzell then we might have half a chance. Then reboot in the summer.

This is what is making me so mad - in a season of nothingness playing loan players who have already left the building - we were all too gleeful to send players like Thomas shodipo etc packing leaving us Players we don’t own and who can’t be arsed

What’s worse is that we are still not playing players we own to really test if they can make it for us

We are destined to fail with this approach

There was a moment towards the end where Sunderland broke (well, lots of them) and we had three or four players racing back and trying to defend it...they managed to win the ball back and it went back towards midfield...

The other six of them were still stood on the edge of the Sunderland box and the midfield was completely empty. That is the image that is sticking with me from last night - absolute apathy and an appalling lack of professionalism.

With finances tightening up I just don't know I can justify spending £60 on a ticket and round trip at the moment (don't even drink) to watch that level of abject dereliction of basic duty and be made to feel the way I felt about our beloved Rangers last night. Nothing but respect for those that get to all the away games as well as home.

Fair comments from Tony Mowbary about us, I always find he is a very respectful manager, but it cannot hide we are a mess of a team. Once Sunderland coped with our first 20 mins or so of pressure, they eased into the game.
