I popped over to WeAreTheRangersBoys to see what there take was on Beale and stumbled on what looks like a definitive list of famous R's fans"
Right then, I only went and done it! Below is the list of names that have been mentioned above. Certain names mentioned were patently ridiculous and debunked in subsequent posts, eg Hugh Grant. Some are stretching the definition of "famous" but I left them in. Others were too imprecise eg "the one out of Eternal" so I left them out too. The list was compiled over 6 years so some are now dead or their fame has waned but irrespective of that I think they count as Famous Rs. SEVEN esteemed posters separately answered with "Me" so maybe Michael Gove is actually a regular on here? Lastly, Take any queries to Google - I really have no idea who half of them are. I've just listed 'em from above.

The Duke of Westminster - Where were you when we were skint? Tommy Steele, Tim Peake, Richard Stilgoe, Mary Nightingale, Vanessa Redgrave, Konnie Huq, all new to me.
In a questionnaire the other day, Alex Chalk, Conservative MP for Cheltenham, was asked: Q. Are you a football fan, and which team do you support? A. As a child in the 1980s I collected Panini stickers and developed a soft spot for Spurs, so I lightly support them. As well as CTFC, I also follow QPR, as I lived near Loftus Road for a while when I was building my career as a barrister in London.
Pete Doherty was at the Preston game, first time I've seen him in person at the Bush. He was with his wife and (I assume is his) child. He's had a lot of demons in life and paid the price but I hope he has a clean and easier life from here.

I had a decent 15 minute chat with him covering both music & his time as chief rival to AKUTR'S He told me he still has all his fanzines and quite a no. of AQOTWA's that didn't sell. He said he was all squared away with the club and has been clean for a while so no repeats. He definitely seems a lot more chill these days said he was hoping to get to more games in the future.

I remember buying an 'All Quiet On The Western Avenue' fanzine from him when he first started to flog them, just a nice chap, nuff said.
That's pure quality but when I learned he didn't actually play bass on "Rock the Casbah" it was like realising the man you've been calling "daddy" all your life should actually be Norman Watt-Roy. Disturbing.

I'm a bit confused GroveR, why would Glenn be playing bass on a Clash song? Are you confusing him with Paul Simenon, perchance? Legend has it that it was actually Topper Headon who played the bass on Rock the Casbah, but apparently he now says it was Norman Watt Roy...
Sidebar: I saw the Blockheads play at the Water Rats Kings Cross, what a band. Norman was incredible. I think he also played with Wilko Johnson.

well he was never in the Clash so it would've been odd if he had played on Rock The Casbah
Apparently Reginald Christie, the famous serial killer of 10 Rillington Place was a QPR fan. When he was arrested he was found to be in possession of a QPR badge. More our style I guess.
